Update (thanks to @Actarus)
We truly appreciate your continued interest in The Florida Project and your patience throughout this journey.

We are preparing a 4K Blu-ray limited edition approved by director Sean Baker. The release has been delayed due to the availability of the 4K SDR master and additional HDR grading work. Production is now in its final stages, though the exact release date has not yet been confirmed.

Once finalized, all details will be announced on our official Instagram (@plainarchive). We hope to share good news with you soon.

We believe it will be worth the wait.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best,
PLAIN ARCHIVE

Are PA timing this release to coincide with the Korean cinema release of Anora?

Sean Baker films. Anora out soon...maybe we'll here something more imminently?
Oooh, I'd love for them to do something for Anora, even just a clear scanavo case in a slip with cards! Awesome movie, much, much better than Florida Project!

Maybe you can just somehow relate more to the "Anora" story than the kids in "The Florida Project" :naughty: . Me personally, "Red Rocket" all the way :D

Having finally gotten around to watching this count me in the interested pile. Thought it was superb, very upsetting and difficult to watch in places while also on the whole being very touching.

Anyone here seen Sean Baker's latest film Anora yet? Heard great things and am dying to see it!

Saw it a few weeks back and thought it was excellent. Personally thought one section was dragged out a little but overall it was great and I'll definitely be picking it up (hopefully in a nice edition), although not a chance I'll be watching it with the other half!

Good to hear! I'm hoping Second Sight will at least do a nice chunky slip edition for it, as they did with Tangerine. Really wanted one for Red Rocket (and Florida Project) as well, but so far no such luck :(

"Director Sean Baker is waiting to send us the 4K master for the physical medium (UBD), but it seems like he will finish it after the Oscar race ends and he has more time. In addition, since the 4K master only exists in SDR version, the Dolby Vision grading will require additional time to be done locally in Korea, so for now, we are just waiting to hear from the director. We ask for your understanding for the delay in the release following the director's request for a 4K Blu-ray release in Korea."

This should be a google-translated reply from PA (someone asked them for updates). Source: 플레인님 플로리다 프로젝트 출시 지금이 적기인거 같습니다 - DPrime

That makes more sense. It's delayed because of the want for a 4K disc. That'll push the price way up. Korean 4Ks aren't cheap.

@famagosta I so hope in the meantime that PA will decide to make a Boxset to host all editions that they will release.

We have been waiting so long for this release and I strongly feel like this deserve a 1-Click Boxset with Artwork :notworthy:

So they're getting the same transfer, as Second Sight? So we shouldn't buy the SS release, which will likely be an amaray, and wait some more for this!
