Well we keep finding more and more fans, garlad you are just adding to the group. So let's keep all football related content in this thread since we are small group of fans who actually follow we can't make threads that only one person will reply. Anyways Scott, Baliey, Dattebayo and myself all follow pro football. The same people in addition to Bravesfan and jrocca have/play FIFA09.

To answer your question from the other thread, yes I do follow. I don't have a particular team in the EPL, but I enjoy watching the games. However I am liking Liverpool this year, I think if they don't win it now they won't in a long time! they are finally reaching that talent threshold and it's their time! Torres is in a fantastic level and Benitez is having no issues with players so what else can I say? ManU is finally losing grip. Chelsea is a mess I think, they keep buying players and more players that bring a huge ego and that's why the teams is so inconsistent! the egos that team has will not let them find their rhythm. Arsenal has a relatively young team that will only get better and I keep reading everywhere that they might lose Fabregas this next summer....

I used to watch plenty of the Spanish league, but I lost GolTV which used to show all the games every weekend. Fox Sports channel now shows the EPL and the Serie A Italian league which is not bad, but not the same.

Spain has had bad luck in penalties before, I hope they don't go to penalties.

Oh yeah!! Ronaldo can go home packing!!

Didn't see this one coming, despite Germany having a poor record against the Italians.

A lad at work had a tenner on 2-1 Italy, not sure what the odds were though, bet he's screaming for Germany to nick one right about now.

This is completely unexpected. The Germans are really pushing it in the last few minutes of the match.

Do you still fancy Spain for the final? I'm not sure now, this has blown things open a bit to be fair.

Still my gut says Spain to win 1-0.

I still think the Spanish will take it. Although it won't be easy, Italy can play with 10 in the back and be ok with just one guy up front. You saw how the Italians started to flood the back side as soon as they had the 2-0. They won't have a problem doing that in the final either.

Not sure what to expect from Spurs this season, thought it was a joke 'Arry was sacked, considering he got them in the top four two seasons running.

Although AVB never cemented his place among the Chelsea lot, I still felt a bit sick when he went to Spurs, hope he doesn't come back and haunt us.

Community Shield tomorrow, meaningless to some, but for me, the novelty of winning trophies has not worn off, I hope we go for it, make the most of the success, because one day it could all end.

City have a few injuries, so I'm going to be brave and go for 2-1 Chelsea, though if we play like we did against Brighton, we could be in for a hammering.

Let's talk about RVP to Man Utd. I personally think the 24m pricetag is a little steep for a 29 year old.

Rising to £24m depending on add ons :)

So here's hoping Utd end up paying £24m ;)

In all seriousness Rooney and RvP together  Fantastic pairing and potentially lethal!

It's probably right for someone with RVP's goal scoring record if you look at going rates today. He's scored at least 1 in 2 for all but one season in the prem, and scored a goal a game last season. You have to think about kagawa in there as well, I can't wait to see him play week in, week out

I'm actually looking forward to seeing kagawa more than van persie TBH, think he may take the premier league by storm. From what I've seen of him so far in the friendlies he looks a player. He was in the German team o the year twice in a row and out-scored/out-assisted (is that a word lol) Roben, Ribery even Hazard who Chelsea paid over double for playing in a worse league. His united team mates have been raving about him!
Anyway, RVP (if he stays fit) and Rooney is a mouthwatering combination and with Kagawa and Clevs providing the through balls, Valencia and Nani/young on the wings, I think we're take back our crown lol.

Definitely looking forward to kagawa more than RVP, I've said for a few years that if RVP can stay fit then I'd love to see him and Rooney together. Not sure what to make of this Kaka rumour though, what do other united fans think of that?

I can't see it happening to be honest, we have so many attacking players already and don't know where he would fit in, unless he was played as a normal CM.
We would score a lot of goals though (and would probably let in a lot) lol
