Well we keep finding more and more fans, garlad you are just adding to the group. So let's keep all football related content in this thread since we are small group of fans who actually follow we can't make threads that only one person will reply. Anyways Scott, Baliey, Dattebayo and myself all follow pro football. The same people in addition to Bravesfan and jrocca have/play FIFA09.

To answer your question from the other thread, yes I do follow. I don't have a particular team in the EPL, but I enjoy watching the games. However I am liking Liverpool this year, I think if they don't win it now they won't in a long time! they are finally reaching that talent threshold and it's their time! Torres is in a fantastic level and Benitez is having no issues with players so what else can I say? ManU is finally losing grip. Chelsea is a mess I think, they keep buying players and more players that bring a huge ego and that's why the teams is so inconsistent! the egos that team has will not let them find their rhythm. Arsenal has a relatively young team that will only get better and I keep reading everywhere that they might lose Fabregas this next summer....

I used to watch plenty of the Spanish league, but I lost GolTV which used to show all the games every weekend. Fox Sports channel now shows the EPL and the Serie A Italian league which is not bad, but not the same.

Yeah, UCL final was great! Was cheering for Bayern once Barcelona was out, they deserved it since the last one.

As for Neymar, it is great to see he finally decided to play in Europe. But I think he's not in his best form now. He doesn't play like he did 2011 or mid 2012 anymore. Let's wait and see, but I really hope he gets his great football back.

I would give my right testicle to see Cesc back in an Arsenal shirt. I hear we've got first refusal on him too, written into transfer agreement.

Knew Neymar was leaving as I said a few days back surprised it to Barca I imagine that Bale will be the main want for Madrid know! Also think the gunners may resign Fabregas £25 million well spent if they do.

Yeah Neymar definitely will not be the main to go guy, at least not like at Santos.

I would hate to see Fab go, he hasn't been able to get starting lineup more because well would you sit Xavi or Iniesta? Fab is definitely the guy to replace Xavi, but he still has plenty of gas to go unfortunately.

I don't think Cesc is the man to replace Xavi as their styles are so different. Cesc isn't disciplined tactically enough and is also quite direct in his play. Even when he was brilliant at Arsenal he never dictated things like Xavi does.

It's all about Thiago.

Haha goal.com and caughtoffside.com are the worst websites anywhere for making up nonsense.
I wouldn't even trust the date on those two haha

I always find Transfer Markt the most reliable.

Anyone think Andy Carroll will make his way back to Newcastle this season?

Not unless they match what West Ham are offering for him. If Newcastle want him back, they need to stop thinking they're going to get him on the cheap.

I hope not. His off the pitch lifestyle is not befitting of a so-called professional athlete. He's also quite injury prone too.
His off pitch lifestyle has been fine since he left Newcastle.

It hasn't at all. It's only now under XXXL Sam that he's showing the type of fitness levels that he had when he was up here.

He's also back home as often as he can going out on the drink.
Well it certainly wasn't a problem when he was at Liverpool. He's had a bad run of injuries that took their toll on him, and fitness levels are just as much down to the injuries he's had as opposed to his lifestyle. I mean, the Daily Mail tried running an article showing how footballers have gone drinking mad since the end of the season, and the best they could come up with for Carroll was him looking more sober than anyone else around him, eating a (relatively healthy) kebab, and carrying a bottle of water.

If he could get over his injury problems, I’d have no qualms about having him back at Liverpool.

Such an enthralling game between Italy and Spain. An absolute nail biter :ohno::ohno::ohno:

Well done Spain and Italy. Spain Brazil final next

Fantastic performance from Brazil. They didn't allow Spain to knock the ball around, and they clearly weren't used to being pressed. Some great goals as well, cracking finish from Neymar. Cesar stayed alert til the end, and Spain could and should have finished with 8 men. Dirty Spaniards! :hilarious:
