Well we keep finding more and more fans, garlad you are just adding to the group. So let's keep all football related content in this thread since we are small group of fans who actually follow we can't make threads that only one person will reply. Anyways Scott, Baliey, Dattebayo and myself all follow pro football. The same people in addition to Bravesfan and jrocca have/play FIFA09.

To answer your question from the other thread, yes I do follow. I don't have a particular team in the EPL, but I enjoy watching the games. However I am liking Liverpool this year, I think if they don't win it now they won't in a long time! they are finally reaching that talent threshold and it's their time! Torres is in a fantastic level and Benitez is having no issues with players so what else can I say? ManU is finally losing grip. Chelsea is a mess I think, they keep buying players and more players that bring a huge ego and that's why the teams is so inconsistent! the egos that team has will not let them find their rhythm. Arsenal has a relatively young team that will only get better and I keep reading everywhere that they might lose Fabregas this next summer....

I used to watch plenty of the Spanish league, but I lost GolTV which used to show all the games every weekend. Fox Sports channel now shows the EPL and the Serie A Italian league which is not bad, but not the same.

Great team, with great players ! This Brazil will probably THE big team of his own World Cup...

Congrats to Olympique Lyonnais for their intuition with Fred ! :(
The player management is a disaster here, in France... :ohno:

This happened at the end of May in the final of the Mexican tourney, my team was down 2-0 and they came back in the last 5 minutes of the match. Needless to say I was already emotionally drained by the time the 2nd goal came. I cried, I jumped, I screamed, I laughed, and possibly went through every stage during that last goal in the 93rd minute...I still find myself watching replays to relive the moment..I would of sold a kidney to be in the stadium along with 100k fans....damn

No doubt Joe will be patting his self on the back for getting this one over the line, lol. Newcastle must have a wider line than any other club it takes ages for us to get a signing over the line. Im shocked Mike Cashley has spent so much on transfers again this season, you know these free transfers and loans dont come cheap.:D

very true what he is doing back at the club i dont know, he already ended any chance of getting douglas from Fc twente, a player we have been chasing for over 18 months because he never heard of him
Hope gomis signs as we need another striker, have no interest in bent or downing joining, would like scott sinclair and james mccarthy instead, i reckon the players who joined in january will perform better this season after having half a season to settle, i think remy will do well if he doesn't get banged up in the mean time

I saw a couple of defensive shockers at the Emirates on Saturday. Given the lack of cover, another defender should be signed before worrying about Suarez...

Well I was happy to see Bale leave Spurs. Regardless of what Daniel Levy said, it was clear Bale would leave the moment they embarked on a huge spending spree they couldn't afford.

Even funnier is that he held up said transfer to prevent Arsenal signing any Real Madrid players before the North London derby. It worked spectacularly well for him as his team of strangers got comfortably turned over.

Then it turns out he phoned Real president Perez to try to stop Arsenal signing Mesut Ozil. I'm sure there must be a rule somewhere about actively trying to prevent a team from buying another teams players.

All of this just made it so much better when it was finally announced at 10:30pm at Mesut Ozil was a Gunner! Disappointed with the lack of another striker, but certainly there can be no complaints about who he signed in the end. Ozil truly is a special player and now ExRox and I need to save up to go down to the Emirates again! :oohyeah:

That Bale drama was just dragging along too much. To be honest I was surprised to see Ozil go. Ancelotti better hope Isco doesnt get injured otherwise he will be screwed. Bale doesnt have the characteristics to fill that role.

Lukaku ended up leaving Chelsea which I thought was a good move for him. I was surprised to see them shopping Mata around. The guy in part helped them have relevance last season.

Yeah I can't believe Chelsea nearly let Mata go either. As far as Ozil is concerned, when you look at how much Real already spent on Isco and Illaramendi (upwards of €60m for both) something had to give. Selling Higuain to Napoli wasn't enough. And with their wealth of midfield options they probably figured that while they would have liked to keep him, they could get a large chunk of their money back. As for the number 10 role, well if Isco gets an injury they could play Modric there. Not as much flair but he's used to that role. Or even move Ronaldo into the middle. They have a luxury of too many options and Ozil wanted game time.

True, Ancelotti moved Ronaldo in that position in the first game and boy did he struggle. He is not the same without so much space to run. I get your point.

Amazing weekend in the EPL. United thumped by city, injury time winner by Spurs, Arsenal with a somewhat comfortable win to go top again.

In LA liga, Rayo played their hearts out but were unstuck in key moments. Barca lost the possession stat but piled the goals. Neymar looked very good again on the left. Valdes was a beast in goal. Atletico keeping up at the top and Madrid 2 pts back. Gonna be tougher with Atletico in the picture for Barca and Madrid to dominate. I like it but always a blaugrana fan so hoping Barca keep winning.

In Italy, Napoli are looking really good. Good job by Benitez so far. Milan are not looking great after another defeat. Inter are surprisingly keeping up. But Juve are still my favorite to win Calcio. Glad to see Llorente score finally

Gunners squeeze a win in a game where they were dominated. Awesome result  But Man U and Man City losing to West Brom and Villa was unexpected EEK! and Spurs missed an opportunity by letting Chelsea take over the second half :( All in, these results strengthen Arsenals position. Can they keep it up :ohno: I sure hope so  What a weekend in the Premier League :scat:

Barca wins again albeit without the usual class  But right now, all eyes on Madrid for the derby :movie: Not a fan of either but a draw or Atletico win please. As a Barca fan 4life, cant stand RM :D

We were hardly dominated by Swansea. They had more of the ball but created nothing with it til the 82nd minute. The other results were pretty much ideal though. Felt sorry for Torres, he might have got red earlier, but no way was that a second yellow lol.

Gotta give the Swans some credit though. The introduction of a target man changed the game for them towards the end. Had they played him from the beginning, things could have been different. Really need an imposing striker next. Ramsey is on fire, but we need a finisher who is clinical and imposing.

In Spain, loved the result :oohyeah: but now they are level with Barca again :( Atletico will not go away easy this yr. I wish Simeone would put on another suit instead of the all black suit he's been wearing at every game religiously :hilarious: Courtouis was a beast with the saves :hilarious:towards the end

La Liga is boring and predictable as it is, being a two-horse race every year. Would you really want Barca to be running away with it by the beginning of October? I like Atletico, and I hope they keep going strong.
