Absolutely shocking release. :hilarious:

I didn't pre-order this as it was WB. Boy how right I was.

Luckily managed to cancel TDKR when I pre-ordered it. Tony's a nice guy. He won't mind if you cancel. He understands about the slip thing.

Just got this email from K2DVD

currently we’re expecting the delivery of “The Hobbit BD Steelbook”
this afternoon. Unfortunately, this release doesn’t have slip paper
around the case (You know slip paper which is around at the bottom
of the case, right?). So, there are a few cancelation requests from
pre-orderers already.

Thus, before we do packing/shipping job, we’d like to ask you if you
still want to keep the order or if you rather want to cancel it.

We will wait for your feedback until this Sunday (Korea date. You
can check Korea date/time on our site. Upper right corner of the
site).

Please let us know what you want to do for this matter. If you don’t
reply until the given date above, we will assume that you’re willing
to keep the pre-order and ship the package.

Sorry for the inconveniences

Wow that's some really good customer service. I'm impressed.

So really none of the Asian steelbook releases of The Hobbit are Lenticular ones, SGR/KR confirmed to be the case, still not 100% sure about TW one though...

MM here I come hehe

Here is a follow up email from K2DVD. They have been great in terms of customer service.

thank you for your mail.

This case is quite bad. It’s second time we experienced after the
T.D.K.R-case. Actually, it’s not that easy to return the canceled
items back to the supplier if it’s limited release as this steelbook.
But we also understand that it’s a part of the order-delivery-process
between us and our members. We take the difficult part, and our
members just need to take what they paid for. As we did it for
T.D.K.R-case last time, we do it also now.

Well, we’re also very disappointing. If we’re steelbook distributor, we
never do such mistakes twice. Hope you could find another release
with slip paper.

Thanks again

K2 cancelled my order too which I'm happy about. Works out for me because I had too many on order between the Singapore, Taiwan, and French steelbooks (plus the digibook).

I got an email from K2 saying they'd cancel my order, so A+ to them. No email from kimchi for either of my 2 orders yet. We'll see.

But even without the slip, I notice that Taiwan steels rarely get above $100, but rarely do Korean steels stay under $100.

Kimchi just canceled one of the two 3D-orders I had placed and refunded my money, eventhough the status already said 'Shipping'. So that's a positive sign, you guys! Hopefully they will also cancel my other order though :p...
