K2DVD...have been great in terms of customer service.

K2DVD are always great for customer service. They were just as accommodating for the TDKR release.

You would think that K2DVD and Kimchidvd ought to be able to bring some influence to bear on the distributor not to do this again. They must take a significant % of any given print run in Korea after all?

I think it is time to move on as we got to know the trend from Warner.

Artwork or the j-card? It says Blu-ray 3D twice on the blue banner at the top if that counts for anything.

I don't think so, the only difference is going to be the lenticular magnet, no front debossed border

Just received cancellation notice from K2DVD as well. Pretty disappointed no slip on either of these 2 steels. But i'll have to make a note that the next steelbook I buy from K2 regardless of slip or no i'll hold onto my order. There CS is amongst the best!

I thought part of Gandalf's beard was missing, but then realised it was a leaf

It looks nowhere near as good as the mockup though. In fact it looks nothing like it.

The movie is about Hobbits right?

Gandalf who is featured in full glory on both front and back is a Maiar and Bilbo is a Hobbit but there is nothing on the artwork that relates to Hobbits. Feels like a wedding album cover without the bride and groom on it.

Hobbits are boring, that's why. Every other "race" in this 3 hour bore fest is more exciting than Bilbo.
