The lenticular is an added bonus but as nice as the cover is its still too much Gandalf for me, the film IS called The Hobbit after all

And it looks like the other regions releases with Gandalf on the front also have Gandalf on the back. :wtf:

Not sure if that will be the same here since most of these have had printed backs.

So tomorrow is the day.Actual the day after tomorrow but MM for usual offers the steels one evening before that day.
Printed back or not? Hmm imo this time it would be that bad, because like in the comments before. To Much Gandalf!!

So this isn't like the other magnetic covers, this looks more like the Indiana Jones Jumbo with a card placed on top. I imagine the steelbook will be flat then with no debossed border.

What's lenticular about that? Can't see the debossed edge and outline of card like most of the releases. Is it just a bad angle?

Lenticular cover on top of the steel like Sigill mentioned. If you expand the pic, you can see edge of the lenticular card on blue top of backer card

Looks like the regular steelbook. Wasn't this listed having a lenticular cover cause i'm not seeing it.

Nevermind i'm seeing it now...i think...

Thanks for posting those pictures guys, gotta say that looks very lame, not feeling it at all, shame MM had really high hopes for this, money saved.

I like it. Instead of having different color schemes in the front and back, have it the same. Lenticular cover is the only part with different color. Well thought out MM

I like the fact that the front and back colour scheme match but would have been perfect if the front had the border and the lenticular card recessed inside like the other MM lenticular releases.

Aw no. :( Is that just a piece of card then? What keeps it in place? Is it a magnet?
Why have a different design to the other MM lenticular exclusives? They don't match at all now
