I don't know what to do, the first Hobbit I wasn't collecting at the time and got the Amaray Extended 3D and it has a super nice border over a nice lenti, nice texture doesn't feel like paper feels like real quality, it feels heavy, 2nd movie extended I got the steel (futureshop exclusive) although nice artwork and finish, feels like something is missing in those jumbo...the last Hobbit Jumbo battle of the five armies looks like it's gonna be same style as FS exclusive last movie, will have nice finish but wondering if I should get the Amaray instead, feels like its a better quality product. I'm confused :dead:

I know EXACTLY where you are coming from :shy: Actarus . I want a set to match the L.O.T.R Box set I have the extended U.K Amazon Jumbo's .

My dream is a complete set 1 disk 1 film accross Both trilogies.

I'v pre orded this most likely will stay on order . Maybe for you hang on a while and see what you fancy getting when ALL relises from all retailers are reviled  .

Then sweetheart go with YOUR HEART :) .

I just took my Jumbo Steelbook of the second extended movie and felt it, looked at how beautiful the front and back of the steel is, I just feel like it's way too light and has no inside artwork. It would have been amazing I agree that the ''Extended'' Version would be same size as a regular Steel it would feel better quality as per the Jumbo steel what I don't like is the 1x 1 inch in the middle of the steel in plastic that hold front and back artwork of the steel. without that 1 inch plastic rim it would make a normal steel. I would prefer it coming as a 2 part steel as opposed to the Jumbo. But after I took my Amaray and felt it in hands for the first movie ''Extended edition'' has same amount of disk but it is just a little bigger than a regular steel... and looked at all details and I think I will go for the Amaray. What is funny is that it's both same price, but I think I rather the feel and details of the Amaray version.

Thanks @harry and @Scary Hair I'll follow both your advices which is what I think is best for me

zavvi now has finally dropped there price to £23.99 for those that haven't ordered yet, hopefully amazon will beat now :D
When considering a purchase, you may want to factor in Zavvi's packaging method for jumbo steelbooks - white bubble envelope.

I was amazed when The Hobbit: TDoS Extended ed. steelbook from Zavvi arrived in a bubble envelope, and sure enough, it had multiple dents. Requested a refund, but Zavvi decided to send a replacement. Again in a bubble envelope (n)

Unsurprisingly the replacement arrived with shipping damages as well. Got my refund at that point.

Of course even a heavy jumbo steelbook with multiple discs can survive undamaged in a mere bubble envelope, but I think that's a rare occurrence.

I bought Unexpected Journey from Amazon UK and it was region free. This one says region B. Anyone know if this information is correct?
