It really sucks we have to wait a few extra weeks to get this version while the FS version is already out and in people's hands :(

Most of the releases get released at least a month before in the Americas. Look how long you have to wait for Wrath of the Titans.

decided to cancel this pre-order and instead order the amazing spiderman and cabin in the woods. decided i probably wont like this movie so will save myself the trouble:)

had this in my hands today guys and took a picture

The symbol is no where near as big as the FS version, no embossing or debossing from what i can see

Awesome thanks for posting. Shame it isn't embossed or anything but I personally think the Mocking Jay logo was too big on the US version.

Plus there is a silver lining here - didn't HMV list this as a 2 disker when this states it is a 3 disk edition! :oohyeah: Plus it says it features and unseen version of the film = Directors Cut maybe? :)

Yeah it says on there website that its a 2 disc but as you said it states its a 3 disc special edition. I still really like it, glad i was able to get a picture just wish i could have picked it up today

I see the pic says it 'features the unseen version.' Content wise, does anyone know if this is any different than the FS exclusives? I have yet to open my FS exclusives so I'm not sure if it also contains the features of the unseen version etc.

If im back in HMV at any point this week again mate i will have a look for you and put in here what the special features are

Just watched this movie few days ago. I'm glad I didn't blind bought this Steelbook because I am never going to watch it again.

You actually have to wait until halfway the movie before the actual Hunger Game even begins!

Does that mean that you expect the "main event" of a movie to start right away? Because that's not too common.
Maybe The Raid is more up your alley...

Btw, I think The Raid is better than Hunger Games but they are totally different movies.

we should get an shipped email later today for this. Think i'll pop to my local HMV after work to see if there've got diplay case's out to have a look at to.

As i'm currently in Belfast, I went in one of their HUGE HMV shops, and in the blu-ray section, they had this steelbook (it wasn't the actual steelbook, it just said take me to the counter) on display and the DVD and blu-ray (these actually were on display), which have beautiful looking slipcovers, but unfortunately, I went to buy it and they said they aren't allowed to sell it until the release date :(
Another note, the clerk said that they had to take me to the counter things to prevent damage, which is a good improvement because some other steelbooks they had out on display were pretty bashed

This does look better then the FS mockingjay version but nowhere near as good as the embossed D12 FS version - that has to be one of the best steels of the year, even if the film isn't great!
