I love the artwork on this one. In fact, it was the first steel I purchased from eBay for what I would consider, at the time, to be above my price range!

If this were a G2, it would rank in my top 5 for sure. I don't mean to sound shallow... I still love it regardless of size. :ugh:

I wish i could have gotten a sealed one of these but i think i got a decent price for my opened one i just bought a month or two ago. It is mint. That versus what people are asking for sealed made it a no brainer.

How things have changed on HDN, released 3 years ago but only 3 user "thanks". A little known grail that new collectors are probably not even aware of!

Wow, a blast from the past...This is pre-me-collecting...One of the first US Blu Steels but G1?

Released with much better artwork, e.g. UK IMO

The first US G-1 Blu-ray steelbook, 2000 run, six Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director! An amazing film and big ol' steel book! I think I paid $22.95 for mine. I've still got the receipts around here, somewhere. :p

I have and love the Korean version also, passed on the UK release. ;)

They like the UK Iron Man better than the FS Iron Man release too. :p

There's only a handful of true "collectors" on here. ;)

Korean one as well...

I passed (wanted mint/sealed) on this a couple of times...Either had a ding or was open...And now super rare?

Definitely don't think this is super rare.

I had this in my early days of collecting, but the matt finish is really poor when to hand. Just my opinion.

I don't think they are super rare, though the print run was supposed to be 2,000.

In my area each store only received two or zero. Others across the country reported the same and those that where able to find one, said they were picked up as soon as the doors were unlocked.

Add to the fact that most people bought them to watch. There's probably not a whole lot left, sealed. So at this late date, a nice sealed one could be considered "rare."

I noticed some serious collectors request in their "wants" mint sealed OCD copies. If they're sealed and no damage is showing through the shrink-wrap, and you can't feel anything under the J-cards, slips, and stickers... how do you know it is or isn't mint, unless you open them up. There is a serious collector on here that will buy multiples of one release and open them until he finds a perfect copy. And sells the damaged copies.

These are $20-$30 dollar items, that have manufacturing imperfections, minor flaws/damage/scratches/etc. and that's before they're even sealed and packaged by a big piece of machinery.

Not all of them have the quality control of a Rolls Royce or Ferrari. It would be nice if they did.

You got any "mint" sealed UK Pulp Fictions? I'm looking for an extra for a good friend. :)

I actually remember picking this up at BB, way back when. Watched it once, and kept it on the shelf ever since. This was before my SB collecting days, so i wasn't too concerned about it's condition. I just check it out, and it's pretty much brand new. I'm rather happy i'm this careful with my stuff :)

It makes a nice center piece to Black Hawk Down UK & Zero Dark Thirty US.

Nice though this is, imo I still reckon the Mexican cover is the best. But don't you love it when there was a different Steel pressed for each country that had it with different artwork.

and what is your definition of a true collector? I consider myself a true collector but refuse to have G1's in my collection
