Those releases was artwork designed by Universal Art Department not Zavvi


It's not the first time Universal have use that artwork template you see they used with Inglourious Bastards and Carlitos Way it on other releases this year also
Animal House and The Sting for example and other releases

He’s not on about zavvi designing them tho. He’s saying Ben of EB has joined forces with zavvi. Possibly. We all know universal own the rights to that artwork. It’s the same that manta can’t get angry that other collectors editions will use the same art they used because manta didn’t create the actual art.

look at that IB one click BS again. It’s so similar to how EB lay out their beauty shots with just slightly less sh!t. Even the acetate collectors card screams of EB.

I think it’s a strong possibility that EB has joined forces with zavvi. It sounds like something both would do

The Mockup EB use are different they not the same

IB The mockup is similar to previous Universal releases that was not EB releases

You're right, I've noticed that too.
But I personally quickly got bored in just the BD and Digibook sections, and started looking elsewhere. I guess not everyone has the time...
Still, there's an option to view just the new posts from all over the forum.

I’m not saying that EB have 100% joined forces with zavvi. But since djjez mentioned it I can see the likelihood of that happening. Only thing is their email says hopefully we can recognise them in their new form next year. Considering IB is released this year and the other one too then I see it less likely but then I’m countered by the fact their message implies that they won’t announce their next venture and instead we have to “recognise” it. So maybe they are teaming up with zavvi but they can’t officially announce that. You just have to look for the signs. I dunno. It’s all speculation at the moment

EB have now closed down, and it seems zavvi have bought all their unsold stock. There are about 6 or 7 EB titles available on zavvi now, that appeared on site today.

The Kimchi stuff did make me laugh when I found out about it. Was so random and don’t really make sense but then I also think zavvi are just selling their old crappy stock. So happy EB have finished, f**k me these editions look bad and tacky
