Not opened it yet. Looks soft so maybe like a sheen but disappointed no metallic effect around lighthouse. Not sure if I’m keeping it yet so don’t know about back sorry. Someone will post soon I expect.

Yes it does kind of suit it though. I suppose if every steelbook was glossy then matte would be special.

I kind of agree... although some spot-glossing would've been nice. Also, I know you were hoping for a metallic effect, but personally I think it's nice to see an actual B&W steel for a change - not often the whites are actually white!

Ok ok clickbait over I'm not actually fully familiar with the finish types yet, so while I'm pretty sure it's not matte, I'm not sure what it counts as, is this satin? Either way I've opened this up and am pretty damn happy with it - it seems to be like, a shimmery/shiny matte, and one of those that doesn't quite pick up in pictures, here's my attempt at capturing on video:


(also the sticker holding down the c card took a teensy bit of the ink off the paper, so little warning to take it slow if you want it pristine)

Haha yeah the picture does come off very streaky, but the shine is more noticeable than the streaks in the light, most streak is saved for the black on the back - I've replaced it with a video now
