I was quick to jump on this release as I thought it might be selling out quick and looks stunning. But I'm struggling to justify it on the grounds it's not one I'm going to watch a great deal at all..

if its a case of zavvi printing off as many as they can to fulfill as many pre-orders as possible... we should all order 50 copies, and then cancell them all but 1 each the week before release.
leave zavvi with a million copies they will never sell.
that'll stop them turning a limited edition into a bad penny.
of course, it might also stop them bothering with steels altogether lol.

And to make matter worse.

Zavvi outlet states this is released 24th june, and their awaiting stock!!!!

And to add insult, shipment date is still 23rd september.

By doing this are customers being charged immediately?

Most likely as they require immediate payment. On ebay I believe you are not allowed to sell pre-orders more than a month in advance, which would be why they would state the release as 24th june.

Yet on play.com they can say the actual release date cant they?

you do realize that its actually your paranoia that makes this go oos and back all the time..

heres how it goes:
1. tlm sells out (print run 10000 with maybe 5-10% cancelations)
2. zavvi restocks canceled quantity
3. ninjas freakout + feel manipulated for no reason and cancel their "group buy" extracopies  which is i guess ~ 20-30% of the quantity
4. no one buys it

i just hope you dont ruin zavvi, because i actually like what theyre doing for us collectors

I always buy very selective-order my Steels and don`t care if they are sold out or not so no one is manipulating me - you Guys out there should calm down a little bit:thumbs:
Got my Steels ordered and i`m happy about getting some beautys:oohyeah: not more not less:LOL:
besides that,Steelbook collecting is my Hobby-not an obsession:scat:

5. Zavvi will think twice about ordering more and more stock next time and maybe about the constant increase in price.
