Poor delivery packaging is always an issue. The outer case is quite soft and prone to dents. That's the big worry I have with these. A lot of collectors would want a clean case and picking up from the after market where the seller is more likely to take care with wrapping and packing is quite enticing I guess. I get it.
I'm not sure these are difficult to pick up as the latest sets are still available for order. There has been a number of re releases over the years and this one - Feb 24th 2025 - is the latest.
I'm confident that if there's damage that I will still be able to get a replacement. Fingers crossed that won't be necessary.
The only reason I waited on purchasing these since the original release in 2020 was the egregious price hikes that the second hand market placed on the sets. They fluctuate quite a lot. As I own the trilogies on Blu Ray and 4K anyway, the steels have never been a priority for me. I was tempted by HDZ and BF sets but never pulled the trigger.
I waited for another re stock when I had the excess cash and used the HMV code for a decent chunk off. Taking the risk on delivery damage would be the minor waver and downside here.

Hopefully HMV won't feck it up.
That seems fair, I actually ended up selling mine (alongside a couple of other pieces) as I was looking to get the HDZeta DLs! I definitely saw these sets going for silly prices though, I basically sold mine for what it's going for now but have seen ones on eBay in the last couple of months going for €175-€250 or so which is bizarre.

That's far too much but they've been sold out for a while so I don't think it's that strange someone would pay a premium for what is a pretty nice release and an average buyer probably isn't even aware of premiums. The restock has brought down the price quite a bit.

I just found it odd given the orders for this reprint were up at the same time for essentially half the price if people were willing to wait a month or so for it to release.

You're right of course but it's easy for people to miss this stuff if they aren't really looking for it.

There's plenty of people (even on hobbyist forums) who are completely unaware of the HMV discount despite it being so well known.

Has anyone received theirs from Amazon.
As my order states 24th of March. I ordered it when it went live. Should I worry?
Yes you should, Amazon have proven repeatedly they are not reliable for these kind of orders.

I'd recommend ordering from HMV with the 20% discount while they still have stock and cancel the Amazon order as there's a good chance they're going to let you down if they haven't given any updates.
