I skipped this in theaters and just blind-bought the Blu-ray - if I'm mesmerized enough by the film I'll gladly double dip. FA is the best premium steelbook label on the market now IMO. One thing, though - do the discs have to look like those awful generic WB Blu-rays?

they definitely missed the opportunity the make the discs a full image of planet Mars

Yep, I believe it was. FA have set out to make some changes going into 2016 so hopefully we'll start to see these improvements from now on (fingers crossed!)

Old habits die hard. We'll soon know if things have really changed. Anyway, I haven't seen The Martian yet, only heard mixed reviews. But I loved Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain in Interstellar. Also both Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott my favorite directors. I'm definitely interested.
