Hate the back, cheap matte and credits printed on steelbook as well as J slip

I wasn't looking forward to opening my copy after the comments here but it isn't that bad. A gloss finish would have been preferable but the matte finish isn't the worst I have seen. There does seem to be a slight resolution issue with the artwork and it does have the disappearing effect that seems to affect a lot of recent Steelbooks, though again not the worst I have seen. I would not normally be happy to pay full price for something like this but since the regular edition is no longer available and I don't already own the film in any format, I am not too disappointed.

Looks like it's the old Shining/Beetlejuice 'shimery' style finish on the artwork.

I got mine today and I'm happy with it.
Sure, the back image image is low res but the front is nice and the title quite bright for a matt finish.

mine has just arrived. it is matte. Looks good though.

Mine has a slight scratch on the back though. will send pic to zavvi and play there games. only thing is I don't think they have any more stock

They will have one more, as I will mark mine "Refused" delivery. The debossed square right through his teeth. No gloss. Just another shabby hack job.

After reading most of the comments in here I expected this to look like crap in hand... just received mine and it's really nice IMO. The back image isn't the best quality, but it's no where near as bad as what it was on The Shining steelbook. And despite it being matte, the yellow & green on the front is still quite vibrant. I'm really happy with it overall.

The glue used on the jcard its a pain to get off cleanly its way to sticky and not the usual roll off glue blobs

Agreed. The glue is totally disgusting!

Get a small bottle of "Sticky Stuff Remover" works really well, removes the glue completely and doesn't harm the steelbook in any way.
