From a sales point of view I can kinda understand it for The Matrix... even though I love the sequels, I know not many other people do, so I guess there's the worry that they wouldn't sell well? Not that a "bad" film has ever stopped most collectors from picking up a premium release for it though

And I have no hopes for 4 either. Judging by the earliest previews, it already looks like they recycled a lot of iconic elements from the original. Seems almost like a remake from those few seconds we've seen.
