this may not be universally popular, but i'd like just the matrix code as a steel, with spot glossing or varnish on some of the characters, like they had way back on the dvd box set, which is still the only Matrix set i own, still haven't liked anything else as much.

if only we coud make that spoon disappear...

All three steelbooks looking very smart - especially the backs . . . well conceived and executed designs with the characters nicely framed within the significant objects .

Continuing with the spoon obsession - Spoon Boy then and in 2016:-

The 4K Amaray art could be considered 'better' ... but I find it a yawn in comparison:-

I have no problems paying a premium price for a 4k release as long as the 4k feature is a top notch transfer. It's when you get a 4k master than's only slightly better than the blu-ray I get annoyed.

I havent seen it myself, but I've heard from multiple people that this is one of the best transfers. Not counting all the online reviews that say the same.

bit pricey right?

Why not a steel for the whole trilogy - one with 4k disc(x3) and another for standard blu-ray(again x3)
Warner would not do a 4K trilogy steelbook with no blu-ray of film included

A 4K trilogy steelbook would be 9 discs and would mean a jumbo steelbook and be expensive
3 x 4K UHD (Film)
3 x Blu-ray (Film)
3 x Blu-ray Extras

If you want 4K trilogy release the amaray release is best suited

Also I suspect there are a lot of people out there (this person included) who have zero interest in the sequels and only want the original.
