That's the great thing about this movie is there are so many cool images to choose from, like the pills, the code, the Nebekenezer, the girl in the red dress, the sentinels, the phone booths, the characters themselves, etc.

Just IMO this is the last image from the film I would have expected to see on the cover, but maybe that's why they did it.

When I think Matrix, though, I think highly stylized, late 90's geek porn. For me, the cover as it is now doesn't speak to that as much as it does horror or sci-fi/ horror. Looks more like what should be on the cover of an Alien Steel.

Ugh, I'm sure I'll learn to love it.

Well, Scanavo called me after the WB and Alliance steels were out about a month and wanted to know the community feedback and some other stuff I cant talk about. Though I did make heavy mention, that if it wasnt hard on the costs that inside artwork was a big deal as well as artwork that was different than the amarays. Of course sometimes they can only do what the studio will approve, sometimes due to strict directors or actors (with weight to throw around) there only a couple choices. (these are a rare case though)

I think its easier to deal with that in regards to Alliance than the mega-WB

oh and black, I have the ultimate set, and the digibook. Ive also been close to buying the German Premium Collection digibook since it looks so awesome and is the cheapest one ... but now that this steel is coming out .. Ill do without ... way too many as it is.

I think the cover looks great. I had pre-ordered the other four but ended up ordering the Matrix today as well. My credit card is hurting already. I'm grateful they don't charge until they are ready to ship.

I have to say the artwork is a let down. Of all the iconic images they went with this, it barely reminds me of The Matrix. I would of been happy with the green code and a basic Matrix logo! I think i will be leaving this one.

I think the artwork is very nice. However, I am gonna pass on this one, because I hope they one day release a Matrix trilogy steelbook to house all 3 movies. I don't want The Matrix as steelbook and the other 2 Matrix movies in amarays. Then I'd rather keep the trilogy box I already own.
