Not sure how true this is but I read on this site that Disney conducted a European poll regarding content and the majority said they preferred single disc to Triple play and 3d, again like I said can't be sure if its a fact just one that I read.

I like to have triple play on Disney films so the kids can watch it in the car or tablet, and I believe (like many on this site) that a Steelbook should come with a blu ray bonus disc and 3D (if film is available in 3D)

Really?

Well, these are steelbooks, which are primarily targeted towards collectors or buyers who prefer premium packaging. It's not fair that we pay extra to only be shortchanged.

The FS/BB Disney steels cost about the same as Zavvi Disney steels. The difference is FS/BB included every bonus Blu-ray disc.

We need to start a petition and sign it. Zavvi needs to know us collectors enjoy and want the bonus Blu-ray disc(s). Let's talk to Wreck or do whatever needs to be done, so Zavvi can at least acknowledge the demand. That sh!t may fly with amaray releases, but not steelbooks.

I may be in the minority but I actually prefer just having the film in a decent steel. For me, watching extras dilutes the magic a film can offer. I also find 3d reduces the clarity of the film and if anything becomes a distraction. HD is where films belong with 4k and beyond. So for me anyway, I'm happy with this release, but sorry for those that want more than just the film.

Not impressed with the artwork. However, it's the type of design that might look better in person. However, I got the DVD collector's edition with the cardboard case with a plastic releaf of Jack Skellington. I can't see how the same design will look as good on a flat steelbook.

You can always choose NOT to watch the extras even if they're included in the steel edition. I bet this will be the usual barebones release.

Its funny how when this first came out Disney refused to put its name on it because of how "scary" it was for kids so they released it under the Touchstone banner and since it became a hit they are now deciding to put their name all over it.

I bet the reason they haven't done the same thing with Who Framed Roger Rabbit is down to some rights issue. I guess Warner and the other studios only agreed to licence their characters if the film was distributed under a neutral banner. Can anyone confirm this?

Totally agree, mate. Extras/special features are a MUST for me. The disappointment I feel when I turn over any blu-ray and see no features or "trailers" as a special feature.. :( They can keep 3D/DVD/UV but special features and bonus disc content is a MUST.

One of a kind. I finally like what's on offer but lacking content for 2013 I say. Could forgive the BB/FS beauties for not having 3D as it was not prevalent then. The front artwork looks really nice. May pick this up if it is priced accordingly based on what's on offer.

I don't like the white background on Jack's white head. The shadows made up for it but an embossed Jack would make it better. And the red corners should be more rounded to match the Steelbook edges. But this artwork for me is way better than the US/CA release.
