I think 'The Disney Collection' will only include Disney Classics which explains why this one is absent. I see no reason why this won't be as good as the other Disney releases. Even the £14.99 Disney titles are supposed to have embossing :)

The Disney collection is apparently only Disney classics, this isn't a Disney classic as it was originally released through touchstone.

I think that is correct. Looking at how they have numbered the classic releases and having Monsters University not in the numbering system. The Nightmare before Christmas being stop frame animation is not a Disney Classic as Disney call it.

i think the standard 2D version released back in 2008 is region B locked, whereas the 3D version from 2011 is region free.

i'd expect this to be a re-release of the older disc, so region B locked, just guessing.

Hopefully its the re-mastered version the states will get around the same time. Slip is similar to this steelbook too. Would make sense will the steel book and blu ray releasing at once

That cover really rubs me the wrong way. I don't know why, but it looks unnatural to me.
If they were going to use that cover I would have preferred the 2D variant.

Though, keep the black and blood red, because in a glossy coating the blood red will stick out immensely.
