So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Just to assuage any doubts about the legitimacy of the Jack Reacher UK sales, I sold my 2 copies for £110 BIN (each) and both buyers have paid. Obviously I could've got more for them, they go from anywhere between £100-£165 atm but I wanted quick sales and both sold within a few hours of them going up for sale.

Yeah I've had confirmation through a fellow member that his JR have sold well over £100 on bids and buyer paid.

I be interested to see how long this surge of interest will last for.

Just because it's listed doesn't mean it will sell.. but I don't see how he thinks someone will bite at 220. Maybe it's just that. List high and hope someone bites.

I am just wondering which would collectors consider more valuable....

a sealed IM FS signed by Stan Lee (ie sign on the shrinkwrap) or an opened IM FS signed by Stan Lee (signed on the steelbook itself).

Too bad this is neither of those. If it was IM FS, the $1000 price would be warranted. But $900 for an autograph in a $100 steel is just plain stupid

it actually could bring the value of the steelbook down. I remember growing up and collecting sports cards, an autographed Michael Jordan rookie card is less valuable than a MJ rookie in mint condition, i.e. no writing on it. And while Stan is a legend, his autograph is basically worthless because of the number of signatures he's put out there. Don't get me wrong, a steel signed by Stan Lee is awesome, but his signature doesn't add much value, if any.

The OPENED copy of Thor signed by Stan Lee says otherwise, it sold for £250.
