So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy!

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

well if you go into the bid history 3 people all bidded in the last couple of seconds so i think it was.

I'm thankful to the people who know the true value of steelbooks!
Otherwise I'd be bankrupt a longgggg time ago lol

absolutely, i'm guessing it's one of those extremes on the bell curve... but good non the less for those looking to sell off their copy or copies later on down the line... bad for those looking to get a hold of one... looks like there is no time like the present if you wanna add this to your collection.

Its all what you value something at I guess, I said I would never pay over $100 for a steel again and am going to keep to that (I paid over $100 for my X3 and V for Vendettas 4 years ago when thats what they went for). Heck for what he just paid for that Zombieland I found a nice road bike for triathlons on craigslist I am going to go pick up after work. That had been what I had been saving for, I did dip into that fund recently buying steels and the Prince of Persia I have coming cost me quite the pretty penny and will be the new masterpiece to my collection (I was thinking of getting one of those three display things and displaying my X3, V and Prince of Persia).

I guess its all how you want to spend your money I see $300 and I am thinking well that can go to a nice road bike or my vacation to Alaska in September and I wouldn't be spending it on a zombieland steel for sure.

Seriously though. I expect some eye popping increases on a lot of steelbooks over the next year. I expect most of the rare blu banner DE steels to fetch well over $200 and up to $300. Crazy I know. But I expect it.

Where abouts. I am leaving Alaska today to go back home for a few days.

Ketchikan, we have some friends that moved there a couple years ago so we can crash on their couch and it just costs us airfare and incidentals. Although since we have to fly into Seattle to catch a flight to Ketchikan we might spend a day or two in Seattle as neither me or my wife have ever been there and do the tourist thing like the Space Needle.

This is good news guys....people bidding $300 for Zombieland..that means...those people are willing to increase more of our "junk" steelbook. Good times ahead folks...I was doing some calculation...

500 steelbooks x $100 each at this rate = $50,000....not bad..not bad at all

Like I said before, trade in your Zombieland for Iron Man futureshop, Rambo tattoo, 2 copies of Wanted debossed...

I just realized that my $200 Patient Zero Zombie Sideshow statue sold for $700...not bad at all...

gotta love people into Zombie stuff...

And thank you for those 2 folks that increased the price

Zombieland isn't as valuable as the others. How could we trade zombieland for them?

It was just sold for $280 shipped...use that fund for the other ones...pretty simple man... You never know man... Just put it on eBay for BUY IT NOW for $300...once you get someone to buy it..then buy yourself for the others...I see them less than $300... the second guy who lost is going to be desperate...he'll pay more for it..especially if it's not a loose disc. If he wants to pay that high, then sell it high.

I paid my Rambo $250 a month ago... find someone from Germany who can help you buy the rare ones from ebay.de or amazon.de.

I think the easiest way to know what something is valued out is to put it up for one cent and see what it goes for.

Problem is most auctions put ridiculous prices on their items and they sit there and sit there and never sell and then they relist them for the same ridiculous prices so people start to think they are more valuable then they are as they never see them for less. Or an item never appears and you have a bunch of people looking for it and then all of a sudden one appears and you get two or three serious bidders in a bidding war and then people now put that one bid crazed price as the new value of an item.

I think that is what is happening with Zombieland not enough of them are popping up and when they do you get a bid craze on them.

I'll spend ANY amount to get a missing Steelbook for my collection!
