So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

That was the same seller that recently sold that steel for $287 but has now relisted it again. Is the seller making a false purchase to make other buyers follow the price of this steel? Or is it he might have more than one copy :)

He's probably got more than one. There's hardly any of these on ebay so I'm sure someone around the world would be desperate enough to buy it even for those prices.

I just paid a fairly high price for an open/mint Zombieland last night through a very costly mistake.

Note to self: when making a bid on global.ebay.com make note that the currency isn't Australian dollars, and ensure you're not half asleep at midnight when bidding.

I typed in a maximum bid of 100 pounds, thinking I was typing in 100 (AU) dollars. Lucky for me the bids didn't get driven up too high in the last minute.I would have slit my wrists.

Take it easy, mate. Try to enjoy your new steel. I am sure this will appreciate in the coming months.

This was much higher earlier in the day, over £650! EEK!

Not sure about all those bids to be honest...

That is a load of rubbish. It is obvious the bidder that put $1000 and retracted is the shill bidder. The seller wanted to see what the maximum is and will use that to their advantage to drive up the price. Be serious, an open IM and IM2 for over $700 at this moment?

Or the other alternative is the bidder of $1000 was messing around to see what the highest amount was going for. But either way I would not trust this auction at all. All appears to be dodgy :hilarious:

seller told me " The reason why the listing dropped in price is because the bidder put down the wrong amount and had asked ebay to retract his bid. That was the message that was sent to me "

dont believe him myself, stay clear of this auction

Unbelievable, it is now at $1000 and the highest bidder is the bidder with 0 feedback lol (I put all my bets that bidder is the 'shill bidder').
