So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

How do you know it isn't a shill bidder jacking the prices up?

I dont know but that is exactly what i think it is. I can't envisage people that are in there right minds increasing the price on a item if they know they can get it for alot less. The only explanations are theres decoys or the bidders are obtuse.

For a lot less, please do tell where:D

Anyways, I saw the item and was thinking about bidding on it during the last seconds, but once I checked back, OVER $800 EEK!
I could buy a lot of rare Steelbooks, but this is insane.

No i meant if they would stop increasing the price so early they would be able to get it for alot less. I had a chance to get a copy sealed with stickers for 499 USD once but the owner sold it. If i knew it would reach this level in price i would of coughed up the 499 USD. Oh well :movie:

Looks like that seller also shipped a Steelbook in a jiffy bag before...oi vey...

:hilarious: ^^

$500 is a good price for a SEALED JR. A sealed one are very, very hard to find. JR isn't difficult to find, it's just the damn sealed one. In fact this is the first one I seen sealed on ebay but I know its been there a few times. I think the sealed before that was sold for £400.

Yes, you're right...It was my "sealed" copy of Rambo you saw at ebay three or four month ago. I have sold it for 400 Pounds. But it had a long foilrip (I think it was opened there, I was very confused as I received it) and a tiny dent. That was the reason I sold it:

I never thought it could went for this price because of the flaws, so I think the price at ebay for a flawless sealed one could be real...

I've done it before. It's a bit like gambling. I know how much I want to spend on the item and bid that then never think about it again. If I get outbid then so be it.

Sometimes getting caught up in an auction causes people to spend more than they want to on something.

Thanks for that, even a dented sealed one sold for £300.

It is now at bids of £542, but the bidder is no doubt this seller here, chopper123456, a buyer from China:

http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBay...FeedbackLeftForOthers&clk_rvr_id=386082243081

Chopper, known as Chopper123 from HDN and BD is known for leaving negative feedback and even had his bid cancelled by a seller for a IM FS. I recgonise the partial letters and feedback from the John Rambo bid. He even left a HDN member negative feedback for an ebay item.

Be interesting to see if this guy actually pays or not or if the seller will cancel his bids.

Oh...o.k...that's interesting and also very sad...such people should be banned from ebay or other forums forever...

Perhaps someone should tell this fact the seller...not so funny for him:dunno:

Best regards

Nils

There is a BB JP with Green Lantern FS with a starting bid of $375.99. EEK!

The starting bid is too high, but I am confused by the selling technique of adding GL. :dunno:

Sorry if it is someone on here. I'd love to hear the thought behind it. ;)

You would think that would actually drop the value of the deal. :hilarious:
