So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Interesting to see that the Gladiator Tripack is already being listed on eBay for around $300! No prizes for guessing who the sellers are.

I fully expect that many of the individual Steelbooks purchased in the GB will also end up being listed there, probably at double the prices paid for them.

I just don't see the purported altruism frequently put forward by these people that they are merely fulfilling the needs of the secondary market. To me, it's avarice, pure and simple.

I find it hard to disagree actually.
Though, not to condemn out of hand, there are some guys from here, who sell on fleabay, start low and let things find their own level - which is then dependent on the greed and avarice of the buyer :)

As for selling on - despite my complaining about the loose lenticular, and other assorted gripes, mine will be staying at home - when it arrives, that is . . .

IMO this is the only morally sound way one can sell on eBay. Always put it on auction, then if it goes for £100 it's not because you're being greedy.

The only time I've had to put a static price on any of my steels is when I (briefly) had a sale thread here. I didn't like putting a 100% markup on some things, but I was just following the groove set by others.

I'm curious to see if the freebie empty case will wind up on eBay with it's big NOT FOR SALE sticker on it...

Hmm, does it actually have one, or is that a metaphorical sticker?

Be interesting if there is a real one and fleabay catch onto it :)

Let me explain why we didnt pack the gift empty case.
This is Camouflage for protection the Tripack, when the customs open the package, they see and take the unpack case at first, and the not for sale sticker on the case,so they will think its really gift package and its low vaule,so they will not check more, the tripack safely throught the customs,if we pack them very well, they will take the triapck first, and open it,We usually think of large or heavy things are more valuable, and the customs as well.

Damaged empty case+perfect boxset
Damaged or opened boxset+perfect gift emptycase
which is better??

Boxset was sold out, replacement it need send back to china, and the emptycase still left many extras at hub leader,do you understand my means?
If your gift empty case was damaged and you cant accept, just pm me and provide the pics is ok,i'll tell hub leader send an extra to you.its very easy.

Just take someone to spot one of those on fleabay and report it and the roof will fall in - that's when thy do one of their mega searches for stuff that shouldn't be there before they get closed down by the authorities - it's happened a couple of times before with illict goods.

What would actually happen if one of these 'not for sale' steels turns up on eBay? You make it sound as if HDzeta would be in trouble.
