So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

The prices are definitely crazy, but I think any seller that has OOP items will take what the market is willing to give. It IS kind of funny though that these are fetching this much. They are beautiful, IMO, but still, a little nuts...

Seems like that there are many more buyers willing to outlay a huge premium in Europe, vs those in the USA or other locales.

I try not to tell people how much I spend on steelbooks as they don't understand, just laugh and say its just a DVD lol

BUT THEY R SO NICE

My friends think I'm insane. Then I show them the ones I have which are going for silly prices on eBay and I feel vindicated. Not that I needed a reason, lol.

The ebay item that just recently sold that I was the most surprised about was a sealed copy of Inglourious Basterds CA futureshop version.
It sold for just under $300. I think it was like $291 plus $25-$30 shipping.EEK!

Crazy!:dunno:

Yep, that was interesting. I was also very surprised by the Independence Day Iron Pack (error version, by the same seller) that sold for over £200.

There's a mint sealed Gladiator steel case/metal slip that's already over £100. Will be interesting to see how much that goes for :naughty:

It's going to get even crazier IMHO when the world economy picks up in a few years :scat:

Yeah, I'm interested to see what that goes for as well. The past few months a mint/sealed one has gone for about $200 on ebay. Interested to see if it jumps past that price point.

You haven't seen anything IMO. Just watch what happens to all those Asian steels. There are a few from 2011 that will easily be over $100. Lots of releases that are still avaible at retail will be hitting the $75 mark by the end of the year. As for those nice German blu banner ones. HMMMM. Hyper inflation is at work boys and girls.
