If anyone's on the fence about the Full Slip order it NOW!! You will not be disappointed the quality is on another level for it.......

Think "The Wrestler" Plain Archive, and it's that good!

Wrestler is more interesting in my opinion. I am just talking about the slip. Colors, art work, title...it's more creative. I like more pre-order slip than original, it's so minimalistic and one of a kind.

Wrestler is the best  However, Rush is comming...only it can beat the king of asian slip-wrestling :D

I wasn't saying it was better! It was just a comparison quality wise. Both slips are superb and unique in their individual ways.....Both are amazing design/quality wise.....I have both and I don't think one is better than the other.

Both are unique and both are quality.....!! ;)

However quality of Asian editions is questionable lately:
- Amelie have corner scratches and inside scratch
- Melancholia have some thorns on one side of the booklet.
- Pianist Lenti have "Brody problem"

Wrestler is still sealed as i had received it on friday...but i am really afraid to open it :ohno:

Why is it that many think that black and white inside artwork is a cost cutting measure? It is most likely a design choice in my opinion. It's the same with front and back artwork, collectors are always saying that studios keep it to two or three colours to save money. Is there really that much money to be saved by doing it?

I think it does cost less to have a black and white inside art. I feel the same about limiting the front and back to two or three colors, using a matte or silver finish, not using a title, or using a minimalist design instead of a high-res detailed image. There are plenty of minimalist designs that I've loved (Battle Royale, Fox Comic Con slips, Criterion), but more that I've thought were lazy or cheap in some way (Nosferatu the Vampyre, Aguirre the Wrath of God, Inside Llewyn Davis, The Place Beyond the Pines, Evil Dead 2, the latest Fox Wave including Speed).

Ok, question for those who've opened theirs...

Does the lenticular edition (steelbook and slip) fit inside the "gift" slip, or is it too big?

But full slip will not cover fully lenti edition, am i right? Lenti slip have it's thicknes and i suppose it will be a little bit off the full splip on the right side.
Please someone confirm this;)

decided on opening the full slip for keeps. its just too nice. super duper high quality.

ok so the movie... i had never seen it . holy flippin moly. that was the heaviest movie i've ever seen. this is not a comedy, but you know what, it sometimes very good to see a film like this. allows for a healthy perspective on life in todays world and for me personally when the credits rolled, I immediately felt that The Pianist was MASTERCLASS filmmaking. deep, dark, and in some moments... depressing... but also honest, heartfelt, eye opening, and absolutely excellent.

my one teenie tiny itsy bitsy complaint about the full slip is that Adrien holding the boy is a backwards (mirror) image of the movie scene. (Adrien wears that watch only on his left wrist in the movie and held that boy in the opposite side). not sure why they would do that but anyway... awesome release and awesomely crafted movie that will extract all kinds of emotions out of you.

This is the type of movie that makes you feel good you don't live in a world like that. We don't realize how good we have it these days.

Congrats to everyone getting a copy. This is one you need to have in your collection. I cant imagine why so many cancellations. Its an Academy Award winner for best picture!!!

It's not (Chicago won), although it probably deserved to. It did win the Palme d'Or, though.
