I have purchased the Full slip version from another person and it is currently in the mail. It includes the slip only and the steelbook sealed. It is #20/1500.

If I purchase the full slip now will I get the the other slip the black one with star on? Or was it just for pre orders? Thanks

Thanks for the reply going to order it and get my first ever kimchi release I caved after seeing the wrestler steelbook and saw the difference in quality.

The wrestler was actually plain archives own release so nothing to do with Kimchi. I think the the non lenti slip for this kimchi is PA though (as is the kimchi rush slip).... tbh the quality of the wrestler is above kimchi and blufans so far imo

I know it's plain archives and not kimchi but that was my first non UK steelbook and it's so nice I'm now interested in more. I can't say till I get this as I only have a plain archives one to go by aha but it is nice.

As far as I know Rush is the first collaboration between Plain Archive and Kimchi, all these releases were designed by Kimchi DVD.

it coming first class for an extra £1 i used a £2.50 ebay voucher with my nectar points plus had some money in my paypal account so it came to 30.64

You know something is wrong with the Academy Awards system when a movie gets both best actor and director and not best picture.

You could argue the other way too (that it should not have won Best Actor or Best Director). I remember that year pretty well. Both Polanski and Brody were surprise upset winners (which is rare in what is essentially a popularity contest). The simple version of what happened was that the Pianist had a loyal minority voting block. People who liked the film, voted for it in all categories. When it ran up against a clear favorite (like for Best Picture where Chicago was the overwhelming favorite), it lost.

But in both Best Director and Best Actor, there were two co-favorites. Best Actor had Daniel Day-Lewis (Gangs of New York) and Jack Nicholson (About Schmidt). Best Director had Scorsese (Gangs of New York) and Rob Marshall (Chicago). The idea is both races could be very close. In both cases the co-favorites essentially split the vote enough for the Pianist voting block to over take them. They never release the actual tallies, but I suspect these races were really tight with no one candidate getting a very large percentage of the vote.

Well, just when I was worried about Zavvi's packaging, I came home to a box of The Pianist full slip (and American Psycho). I've never seen a package so beat up and a steelbook so damaged. I'm devastated :(
