Thank you Disney/Zavvi.
Another stunner
Love the way the spine carries on the dark pink colouring of the dwarf hardy water lillies
Ordered without hesitation.

I hope not. So much of the artwork is at the boarder on this one and would have the embossing cut directly through most of it and would be really ugly....imo

I think they are going to use the characters as the border and not just the straight line frame embossing. But Im 99% sure its going to be embossed anyway as pretty much the whole collection is as well.

I'm thinking of that as well. They will probably emboss the characters and do no ordinary border embossing. That would just be stupid.

So are we to believe that this will be available in October or some other random date.
With the last 3 disney steels still available I shall not bother to pre order any more

Last three dropped on the exact date Zavvi said they would drop I'm pretty sure. That said I'm pretty sure at least two of them went sold out for a while and have "miraculously" came back on sale.

RE: BORDER/FRAME: It's certainly a tricky one and I can't make up my mind whether this will be like 'A Bug's Life" with no frame and debossed central image or like 'Big Hero 6' where the frame is there but a good portion is under the main image.

My preferred front would be:-
- No frame border (very rare for Disney/Pixar, I know).
- Embossed foreground edge characters to accentuate the '3D effect'.
- Flat central 'background' image
- Debossed title

I don't recall any of the last three Disney releases ever being 'Sold out' though of course I could be wrong :)

Anyway, I'd say it's not an option not to order this with so few left to be released.

I think the front looks great but the spine is a bit distracting. The worst thing is that it will highlight any alignment issues with the front artwork i.e. the front artwork overlaps the edge or red is visible on the front. It would be better if the front image simply continued on the edges so that the back and front were two completely separate images.

I've never gotten Disney's obsession with having coloured edges on their steelbooks.

Still, it's not as bad as Fox's Elektra which for reasons unknown had a full image on the back, a white spine a mainly white front but ridiculously a black edge on the front plate. I mean, really, wouldn't the same white as the spine have been better?
