It seems that Play.com exclusives are no longer exclusive. That's quite a few titles that have been announced as Play.com exclusives only to appear elsewhere shortly after.

Elsewhere as in not in the same country. They don't have the slogan worldwide exclusive. I don't see how Play.com can stop other countries releasing similar steelbooks, usually just with the outer artwork and no embossing (terminator releases -Germany).

Unless they have a contract with Scanavo and/or the studios it would be very difficult to enforce. But also bare in mind many of the people buying these are not collectors, they probably don't know there are similar releases in different countries, for these guys at least, they remain exclusive.

There is a chance that this won't come with any English subtitles, judging by past experience in foreign language films from Germany (IE, I saw the devil and headhunters)

I'll stick with the play.com edition either if it's an exclusive or not.

Yes, it seems to be all the same when a company does not hold the distribution rights worldwide. Another example is The Expendables...France, Italy and Germany with their own language subs only.

I'm not expecting Play.com to stop others releasing the same titles, but in the past Play.co exclusives were worldwide exclusives which is why they were so sought after. It's just a shame that this is no longer the case.

Well said... But then again, it was only for a few of them, i mean, Star Trek was an early days play.com exclusive, and that has been re-released twice (Canada with same art but slightly smaller, and Germany with different art)...

I think i will stick with play... tbh i would go with play just for the packaging so i know that im not going to have to send it back.

...And yes, the Amazon version will probs not have english subs

The world's going to end before this is released so I think i'll stick with my Play.com version.
