There is a nice effect on the green against the black and red when viewed in the light. Plus it has inside art and I like the look of the title on the spine. So not a complete failure, but that blue banner is already bugging me like it bugs me on every other steel I own with one.
Steelbook or not, if you are a horror fan, the price is worth it for the Original Film Soundtrack alone, which has never been released in the states except for on VHS I think. so for me, the Steel is just the Sweet Iceing on the cake.

hi im thinking about buying Return Of The Living Dead steelbook but ive never seen the film and ive been cutting down on just buying the steelbook before seing the movie . any1 recomend it?

It's classic 80's horror. It's worth getting to see Linnea Quigley running around topless. I hope I spelt her name right. She was the ultimate scream queen.
I, for one, living in the US, we got a crappy looking cover art for the regular blu ray release (and dvd rerelease as well) so for me, I think this cover art,which resembles the original vhs art, is pretty awesome... gonna watch this in a few mins and see if the original audio is there and also to confirm B region lock...( i know its been said its locked but no harm in trying)

INDEEEEEEEED!!! Great news for all of us non euro folks...i have checked and double checked and this movie is REGION FREE!!! I popped this in my (US) ps3 and first i got a "wrong region this movie can only be played in region b players" message. So i started messing with the buttons (pop up menu, chapter skip, FF) and then i pressed disc menu and VOILA!!! Started watching the bonus features and the movie a little bit and no problems whatsoever!! I have another blu ray player in the house, a Vizio brand, and same thing, message on screen,pressed disc menu and ta-da!!!

From what your describing is a region coding shortcut or something. Not everybody's players may play this or perform the same way as yours. If it's saying "wrong region this movie can only be played in region B players" since you were using a US PS3 then it's safe to assume that this is still Region 'B'.
I mean I can play this with no problem considering I have an Oppo BDP-93 with region mod but most don't have a region free player so this may be a problem still for them. I would still get others that can test this and see if this can be performed on their players.
