It seems slightly raised, but the edge is much more pronounced than on Argo, so a lot better. Not sure if it will the same for every copy or if I was fortunate.

Sounds crazy, so it must be a new disc if there is no German audio. I thought standard and extended cut were on one disc.

EDIT: I see, there are two extended cuts, so this is the other without German. I will have to buy the normal cut separately.

Why the hell would anyone want to watch a film in anything other than its native language + the relevant language subtitles though ?.

Whenever I watch any foreign language film I find it much preferable to watch it in its native language + English subtitles

Much better than watching it with some dodgy sounding dub IMO.

I think zavvi knows what collectors want and thus most of their steelbooks are so fabulous. I personally think if zavvi is releasing a steelbook that is releasing worldwide too, then more often than not Zavvi is the version to get...just look at town and argo.

it says it "includes the extended cut with alternate ending".. sounds to me like thats just an addition to the regular theatrical cut

Also just received mine and I can't decide which I like more... this or Argo. Will definitely be selling my CA steelbook now though.

As for whether it has all versions of the film... I just stuck the disc in and there's no option to choose which version you watch, so I'm guessing it's only the extended cut. Special features include: commentary, a director's journey, and the theatrical trailer.

thats why i nearly never watch movies/series in german tv. we are so behind the times here. so many things getting lost in translation, it's some kind of censorship and also the reason why many people here can't speak proper english or want to read subtitles, sad germany. they missing so much and don't even know.

Mine arrived today as well! The border is kinda thin but not too bothered about that, the gloss and embossing is real nice so I'm very pleased with it!
