Nice looking Steelbook with Fridge/Freezer concept artwork.

Don't get me wrong when i say this, but its a very unusual release for Arrow even if they are releasing through Zavvi.

2014 Comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and Anna Kendrick??? Havent seen it so not going to pass opinion on it.

It just doesn't fit their usual film selection criteria of offbeat Cult/Horror.

Will be interested in how this release pans out and where it could lead to for Arrow.

I actually think it fits Arrow's offbeat cult/horror theme quite well

Its a very black comedy and you could say that there are horror elements to it - I can't think of another film with a similar tone to compare it to really, it really isn't like anything else I can think of

I would love to think it's the sort of film that will become a cult favourite - hell, it deserves it for the closing credits alone!

The Artwork and Finish with this release is all done by Arrow
Arrow have with all previous releases used a matte finish or satin finish but did do recently with blood and black lace a spot gloss finish with the title

The quality of the Matte and Satin finishes are with most releases very good
I would be surprised if arrow started doing full gloss finish but anything is possible with a film distributor

With the previous Arrow Video Zavvi exclusives it was a deal were zavvi shared the costs of production and that's how they ended getting those exclusives as arrow did not want to pay for all the costs

Most of the time with Arrow a Steelbook will be a Trade wide release or a arrow video exclusive through Arrow Video Shop

Spot on, though can I pitch The 'Burbs as a comparable cult/horror/comedy done by Arrow?

This film goes from hysterical to very dark, very quickly. I'm still not entirely sure how I felt about the end credits...

They all come from Arrow Films, they just have different lines of releases. The Arrow Video label is (generalisation) a load of schlocky below-par horror films, while under the Arrow Academy label they release a lot higher quality of classic cinema.

You are correct, Arrow Video release more than just Horror films though, They also go into other genres. They also might be below par horror to some but there's some classic films in there!
