We***8217;re certainly planning to continue doing all future seasons of The Walking Dead in steelbook with matching artwork ***8211; it looks likely season 4 will be out in September 2014 as it follows the same pattern as Game of Thrones (i.e. the new season hits DVD and Blu-Ray just before the new season starts).

We***8217;ve been told that the steelbooks will feature in the US Walking Dead magazine, so likely to be quite a bit of international interest for these.

The Entertainment Store is pleased to announce our latest exclusive steelbook releases: Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead, AMC***8217;s Emmy Award winning TV series.

Each season features world exclusive artwork by Mark Simpson AKA Jock, who is responsible for some of best regarded comics and art of this generation, having worked on 2000AD, The Losers and Hellblazer amongst others as well as producing artwork for many major film studios, including the artwork for HDN Steelbook of the Year 2012 winner The Raid.

A slim steelbook can hold 4 discs max, no 5 disc slim steelbooks exist, unless they add the fifth disc by placing in a paper slip and placing inside (like how replacement discs are sent (Cabin in the Woods for example). Maybe they will make one at some point, but at the moment a 4 discs is the limit before having to produce a jumbo

I don't think I have seen it but they could stack two discs on each inside half of the interior and put the fifth on a flipper and it should all fit in a G2. It would be cramped but it should work.

I personally don't mind the Jumbos and have bought all the Star Trek TNG German releases but I dislike the idea that within a series there is not consistency.

As hopeful as we all are, I'm convinced ES won't budge on this one, which is a shame.

I'm still not sure on this. €125 for three seasons I could get for half that price is giving my wallet goosebumps. And these UK releases have no subtitles but English for the Hearing Impaired, meaning no one in my family but me will be able to enjoy the show — I'd have to buy the regular French releases on top of that.

ES should be offering a discount price for everyone who purchases all three seasons, like 20% off or something. With Christmas around the corner, they could do a gesture like that .

Completely agree with you on the jumbo situation, I've convinced myself that they'll all look great on their own individual shelf. Might even get myself one of these, go all Michonne on it.

Yeah from season 3 they'll all be jumbos. The only way they won't be jumbos is if the actors or studios get fed up or can't afford the number of episodes and trim it down enough for 4 discs to do. So it looks like jumbos for the long run
