We***8217;re certainly planning to continue doing all future seasons of The Walking Dead in steelbook with matching artwork ***8211; it looks likely season 4 will be out in September 2014 as it follows the same pattern as Game of Thrones (i.e. the new season hits DVD and Blu-Ray just before the new season starts).

We***8217;ve been told that the steelbooks will feature in the US Walking Dead magazine, so likely to be quite a bit of international interest for these.

The Entertainment Store is pleased to announce our latest exclusive steelbook releases: Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead, AMC***8217;s Emmy Award winning TV series.

I just swapped my Django insides with TDKR (3 disc) and the hardest part is the spine, everything else is fairly easy to do, just don't bust into it and take your time.

Yeah I would prefer that. But I suppose that will never happen now they're taking orders.
I didn't realise that being a Jumbo would mean it won't have inside art. That and the non matching aspect to seasons 1 & 2 is definitely making me think hard about this.
I don't actually mind a bit of steelbook modding though so there's always that route, but how many of the other seasons will require a Jumbo I wonder? Modding every one could make this collection get very very expensive

"Jumbo" doesn't mean no inside art. I have UP and Monster's Inc Future Shop they both have really nice inside artwork. don't let "jumbo" discourage you from owning these. They're really not "that bad". I've never seen one debossed so I'm actually looking forward to seeing what ES can do with it.

Its a jumbo so I dont think there is any...not sure why the insides cant be clear plastic like the regular steelbooks to allow for inside artwork, it would make the jumbo steel far more attractive...I think its been done before...

Leave out extras, people complain...include extras...people complain ...damned if you do, damned if you dont...To be honest the jumbo steel isnt too much of an issue but Id at least like to see a transparent inner to allow for some artwork, which would improve things greatly. A lot of TV shows will be 5 disks so if people want more TV seasons in steelbooks, we are gonna have to accept jumbo steels or accept missing extras. Im not sure if I like the idea of a 4 disk 'feature' steel and an extras disk in a separate wallet, Id probably end up losing it lol

Im curious though as to why a jumbo steel needs to be quite so jumbo, a regular steel can fit 4 disks (almost seems like its right on the limit of whats possible, but it does) why cant scanavo make a steel thats only slightly bigger than a regular steel to accommodate the extra disk or 2, the jumbo steel seems excessively big, you could probably fit the disks for all 3 seasons in 1 jumbo with an extra disk tray...

Leaving out extras is out of the question for me. I'd go for 2 x regular steels. Matching steels with inside artwork. Or at least get clear inners for the jumbo to allow for inside art. I don't care if most of it's covered by the discs.

I guess there's also something else to consider. If they do the future seasons, they'll more than likely have to be jumbo's too, making season 1&2 the odd ones out.
