I can't see this been a Sold Out Release not at this time
Possible in a few months it might

It's a beautiful Steelbook and that's all that matters and bonus it's a great film

Print Run It don't matter to me the print run it only matters to me when it's difficult to get a release I really want
That's not the case with this release
Looking at the number of times it has been over 999 available after been less than 999 means it's a big print run

I should have this tomorrow or latest by Thur
Hopefully tomorrow so I can watch the film on Wed Night

After all the glowing reviews on here, I was really looking forward to getting this.

Then it turned up.

Do people *really* think it's a fantastic-looking steelbook? Very disappointed in it. It's a very dull golden hue, not a shiny bright yellow colour like I've seen photos of.

Plain front, uninteresting design and fairly flimsy to boot (I can lightly press the front of the steelbook and it noticeably buckles).

Scorsese could film a man taking a dump on the toilet for 2 hours and I'd probably watch it, but the steelbook itself? Dull.

DULL!?! Are you mad?

One of the best releases this year imo.

I think "steelbook of the year" is being used very loosely. First it was Rush then it was Bambi then it was Mars Attacks and now it's this. It just so happens the film is very popular, I don't know about SB of the year, but it looks very nice IMO. Haven't watched the film yet but I suppose all the acclaim that might have a say in it and strengthen the quality of the steelbook by a considerable amount.

It looks very nice from the pics posted here but I don't really get the over the top fanfare for it. People saying 'steelbook of the year!' etc. Emperor's new clothes springs to mind in my humble opinion.

It might be that or it might be that most collectors appreciate the unique design, unique embossing and a lovely gloss finish.

100% agree. I find the fanfare rather hilarious lol.

You're just embarrassed that you plumped for the Czech version which turned out to be rubbish.

Kimchi is the one I want. Cancelled my UK order for it. Still need one to watch till that version arrives though ;)

nice steel, but I watched the movie tonight and was really disappointed, too long and IMO was just boring, would be torture watching four hours of this IMO

I agree it was slightly too long and some of the stuff was repetitive (not sure who would need a 4 hour cut of this), but it was very enjoyable on the whole I thought.

You've just confirmed my point, to me at least. There's nothing particularly unique about it at all, either in the design, embossing or gloss finish :dunno:

+1 Wasn't impressed at all. A 4 hour director's cut would be excruciating.

Mine arrived today from Amazon. Turned up in a cardboard mailer but luckily in mint condition!
This really is a nice steelbook. The glossy finish looks great and the embossing on the front is really well done, and then they just put it over the top with the debossed $ on the back. Fantastic.
Well done again Universal.. keep the quality steelbooks coming :oohyeah:

Let's hope it is half decent, you don't want to make the same mistake twice ;)

I can't think of many titles that are similar to this. The only title that I think really compares is The Green Hornet. They are both unmistakable designs.

I like the Czech version. Front is fine by me, it has the inside art I wanted and is a proper numbered limited print run. It was a good attempt that didn't quite work out. It will look good on my shelf :D

I really don't like the Taxi cab, which I held in my hand today in HMV and put back on the shelf and bought BFI Nosferatu instead. I know some love really brightly coloured ones but I really don't lol.
