Wow, mine arrived today from amazon in a battered cardboard mailer. It's totally mint though. Looks gorgeous and would have been the absolute jackpot, if it was a little brighter. Just a bit too much mustard imo.

I just hope they still have the 999+ copies they had yesterday. I'm still awaiting my copy from Flubit. Dispatched on Friday apparently, hope it arrives.

Maybe I should've bought a spare, doh!

I absolutely do not think you are funny at all. It's just funny that this 'limited edition' is going on and on and on. (imo)

It hasnt been going on and on. It was sold out for most of the pre-order. The recent fluctuation in quantity are most likely do to cancellations and maybe some small restocks. It will sell out soon and be gone forever and then you can be happy.

Not as described what were they expecting
Noting wrong with this release

Someone up to ? Reasons

If enough people complain they will pull it like they did with Robocop till more are made that don't have the flaws, or checks are made to remove the flawed ones.

According to a mate who's sent his back, that's the reason. They will open and check remaining stock.

Looks like checks have been done, as it's now back in stock.

You've just confirmed my point, to me at least. There's nothing particularly unique about it at all, either in the design, embossing or gloss finish :dunno:

+1 Wasn't impressed at all. A 4 hour director's cut would be excruciating.

Steelbook designers, please ignore these posts. The collectors want to see more bold designs and high gloss steels! It's a treat to get a glossy steel, and even rarer to get one with extra finishing touches (the specks in the black areas, the shine on the dollar signs) and debossing on the back. I'd like to live in Man on Wire's world where steels like this are the norm.

After all the glowing reviews on here, I was really looking forward to getting this.

Then it turned up.

Do people *really* think it's a fantastic-looking steelbook? Very disappointed in it. It's a very dull golden hue, not a shiny bright yellow colour like I've seen photos of.

Plain front, uninteresting design and fairly flimsy to boot (I can lightly press the front of the steelbook and it noticeably buckles).

Scorsese could film a man taking a dump on the toilet for 2 hours and I'd probably watch it, but the steelbook itself? Dull.

This is the case with steels with heavy embossing.

Sorry pal didn't realise steelbook designers follow your posts. :hilarious:

All I said was it isn't unique and I don't get the over the top fanfare. I don't see how I could have possibly touched a nerve? It's just an alternative opinion to yours for goodness sake.

Given the amount of times its come back into stock and in such huge numbers, it seems fairly obvious that the initial print run has been increased massively for this title. No chance of a sell out anytime soon imo.

I have this issue with Best Buy's Thor. The debossed title makes the front of the steel "buckle" slightly with light touch to the case.
