There were rumours of the 4 hour cut being released, which I believe have been confirmed as not happening unfortunately...
Not for the time being. Scorsese believes there is only one true finished product, the theatrical version. Sure it might eventually, when the opportunity arises I doubt these big shot film studios will refuse the potential profit.
You won't ever get an NC17 version in the UK - everything has to be categorized by the BBFC.
If you care to check their site they keep all details.
NC-17 films have even got 15's over here, Blue Valentine for one. Not one NC17 film of recent times has been banned by the censors. A very small number of films have been rejected over here, so if it were to submitted it would get passed 18 I'm certain.
If Serbian Movie made it over here, I'm sure they will allow the extended cut of this!
Bought two incase one arrived damaged. One had visible paint scratches/chips on the front whilst being sealed. The other looked perfect but had a few scratches that the J card was hiding. I urge anyone who has this sealed to open it to check whilst you can still get it replaced.

NC17 films basically get 18 here majority of the time. The US has unrated on the home formats which will be down to whether or not the company even wants to submit it to get a rating here. NC17 is still an official rating and while not popular in the US it's fine in Europe where there's a fair few over 18 only movies. Both Robocop and Basic Instinct were NC17's on their original theatrical runs, both are available in the UK in the same version. Where the US falls down is in sex scenes. Eyes Wide Shut was cut on it's US Theatrical run where as here it wasn't. Violence is ok in the US, sex is a no no. Here it's the other way around.
I would definitely be interested in an uncut WOWS if such a version exists.

)All of which is definitely worse than anything that Scorsese would have chosen for WOWS without doubt...P.S I can only shudder to think what was in that 4 minutes...

Got this yesterday. I don't know if its just me but it doesn't look as yellow and shiny as in some of the pictures on here. Also. The black stipes all the flag seem pretty poorly finished tbh. Not solid black but a little spotty. Don't know if its mine or they're just all that way.
They are all like that. They have little flecks of gold/yellow in them. Personally, I like that, rather than a solid black
