Why does everyone keep saying this? Just because they both starred DiCaprio...they're different studios! We all know Warner Bros have been really lacklustre with their steelbooks of late (Gravity will surely repeat that failure), but Wolf is released by Universal who have been pretty good of late. It'll be fine. It's the artwork that I was worried about anyway and they've trumped everyone on that!

Nothing to do with the actor or the studio, but more that the original artwork was stunning and the changes severely ruined it. The recent Thor 2 and Frozen changes were welcome by comparison, and I can't think of any other major artwork changes in the last few months to use in comparison.
Plus both Gatsby and this started out with NON-CHARACTER Artwork, so it's also a very obvious parallel to make.
answer your questions?

Universal had problems selling the copy in Spain so I haven't had the opportunity to watch it yet, but it's got so many good reviews I would definitely buy it. The price is not bad, but I consider it a bit high.

No it didn't answer my questions, I was wondering why you (and others) have it in your heads that they're going to change the artwork from what it is now. Why would they when it's already selling so well on pre-order? Doesn't make sense.

Now if they were to change the artwork for the Fargo steelbook that would make sense. But of course not every studio has much of that when it comes to steelbook designs.

Ok, well now your putting words in my mouth.

I never said they would be changing the artwork, but using the same examples as my last reply (Thor 2, Frozen and Gatsby), there is always a chance it may happen, and when the artwork we currently have is so good, its a matter of 'please dont fix whats not broke'. The changes of artwork on said 3 titles, all occurred after the titles were live for pre-order so that point your trying to make is void - but I agree, it doesn't make sense to change artwork and risk cancellations but its becoming a more regular practice than many would like.

IM artwork shouldnt be shown until final, but hey ho.

Saw this last night, probably the wildest ride I've been on in a movie theater. It was awesome. It was just so over the top and it was also sad at the same time. Leo is one of my favorite actors and anything to do with Wall Street is a bonus lol. I'm glad I pre ordered this on amazon and can't wait for the steel to arrive.

Does anyone think that they'll release a US steel...perhaps through Target or Best Buy?

Since when did sense come into it? The studios do as they please lol. The Great Gatsby was changed LONG after it had gone on pre-sale and orders were placed. At the last minute art changed and it was dreadful, resulting in lot of cancellations.

Never rely on what a site places as it's image holder till full confirmation has been obtained confirming this is the final version. It can change weeks even months afterwards. The new Robocop is another one. Lots of orders have been placed and it's all most certain not to be the final art, yet people were talking about it as if it was.

Ended up cancelling this one... May end up regretting it once it releases, but the mock up (if that's what will be released), is really plain. At first the yellow had me all excited, but that faded pretty quickly and the initial hype I had for a yellow steel died. Geek's mock up blows this one out of the water, in my opinion (which I'm starting to wish I didn't see!).
