What's the deal with price then?? Just gone into my local HMV in Bristol and they're saying £22.99 - which admittedly is better than the £34.99 they've been quoting for the past couple of months...

It may be a dummy copy, or maybe one of their now commonplace photocopy pictures they put on display? The other day I saw a photocopy black and white picture of the After Earth steelbook on the shelf which said take to desk.
Maybe that's what that copy was.

It was definitely the actual steel. When I tried to confirm the price the cashier let slip that they actually had a copy in store, hence my snooping.

I'll pop down to my local HMV after work to investigate. When Die hard 5 was about to be released the staff allowed me to scrutinise the empty case and take pics. I'll try agin this time. Also open it to find out just how many slots there are inside.

Also as far as I can see, it still looks white to me and definitely no 3D under the title.

Preordered this morning but they said they still didn't know the final price! Very strange 2 weeks before release. Said £5 deposit would be grand though I paid 10 as I had prepared to pay the £22.99

Why is it illegal for America to get Marvel Steelbooks? 90% of the time we are the origin country. Was Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance so bad that it became the first and the last? Dammit, man! You guys don't know how good you got it!

That's that **** I don't like! No Blade, Wolverine, or Iron Man Steels.. More than 15 Counties got the first Thor Steelbook but we didn't! No Captain America in America is a tragedy! If it wasn't for the ability to import and the brave GB host here at HDN, I don't know what we would do! :USA::shoot:

Fox doesn't even release steels in Canada. Word from long ago is that Fox NA doesn't care about steelbooks (and probably there is more to that story).

And we see what happened with Paramount in the USA, they've gone ahead and thrown in metalpak!

But that's true, good thing we have a number of members here that are willing to help out and source some of these steelbook goodies!
