The Wolverine (3D+2D Blu-ray SteelBook) (HMV Exclusive) [UK]

Could be a 6K print run? I'm guessing stores in Ireland will get some copies also?

Wasn't it mentioned earlier in the thread by someone that Ireland wasn't getting this steelbook, I think there is only 5 stores there anyway ATM so it wouldn't make a great difference to the numbers.

There's only 5 main HMV stores yes. But Hilco have also bought out Irish rental chain Xtra-Vision and have merged the HMV brand with most of those stores across the country. And there's quite a few.

Nothing been officially confirmed yet. But even if the 5 main stores were to get 40 copies each, that's another 200 copies. Could be the deciding factor in somebody missing out on a copy or not :dunno:

Just been informed the Irish HMV website is up and running and you can order and preorder movies.

No Wolverine Steebook on there though. So looks like we miss out again in Ireland.

Cool, maybe now it'll be easier to browse there to find Steels to get online or either walk into a store to avoid the risk of their packaging as opposed to messaging them and waiting on a response.

Was in one the other day and Rise of The Footsoldier was the size of their steelbook stock. Don't know if they'll get a lot to be honest.

I noticed this also today they have Wolverine Blu-ray 2D and 3D listed to order online but no steelbook listed as of yet
As its only just launched i hope the steelbook becomes available i wonder what the run is it limited to qty wise
I want this and will be speaking to HMV soon next week and will ask them to release to Rep of Ireland stores and tell them there are Irish customers who want the steelbook
I also will tell them lot of interest for Blu-ray Steelbooks in Ireland and will be asking them to make available HMV UK exclusive Blu-ray Steelbooks in Rep of Ireland

We in Rep of Ireland get HMV online store operational to order Blu-ray before UK so will be interesting to see over coming months what will be available
Note xtra-vision online is exact same as hmv.ie for items to order it looks as if its a copy of catalog of titles to order just same listed under hmv.ie and might explain why we got HMV online order for Blu-ray's before uk

Ireland has pacific rim up for €29.99. Coverted, that's about 25 quid aint it? Wasn't pacific rim in the UK going to be like 17 quid or something? Maybe Ireland just has it more expensive?

23% VAT and higher wages and running costs in Rep Of Ireland

UK its £19.25 = €22.83 rounded = €24
cost = extra €5.99 to make it €29.99
As there shops and not exclusive online like amazon will always cost more

But as with all shops you get sales and bulk buying to reduce price so will be times when cheaper

I wasnt gonna bother pre ordering, assuming stores would have plenty on release day (conveniently Im off work on the day of release, so was just gonna stroll into town) but now you say that I might preorder just to be on the safe side...

Panic....panic.... :ohno:

I've had this on pre-order since 23/8/13. Paid £5 deposit.
It will be intersting to see if I can collect it on the day, or get the big 'sorry mate' story!!

Just rang the Crawley store to confirm my preorder is still standing and asked to confirm the price, and the guy I spoke to said its £22.99. Although he did say 'at the moment' so I'm not sure if he thinks it's going to change again or not.

I think i'm just going to go into the store on the day and buy it, it's a big store so i'm assuming they will have plenty of copies.
