To be fair the staff in my local shop are ok knowledge wise, they are just rather ham fisted with the stock, cramming stuff onto shelves, bashing corners on expensive boxsets etc half of the stock looks second hand before its even been sold....I remember seeing a copy of the Snow White and the Huntsman steelbook on sale for £29 that was bent like a banana

I dont think this will be a Fox normally region lock there new releases.

I think the newer fox titles are more likely to be region free or at least region AB like xmen origins and a good day to die hard.

Well I will cross my fingers. I am in the group buy but that would really sting if it won't work here. I should have got the oppo player. I went for the pioneer elite 5300 which is awesome but not region free( and they cost almost the same). That will be money wasted if it's not.

Fox region locks most of the US releases but not their International releases.

Correct, the last few Fox titles I have imported have been region AB.

IMHO it's quiet the opposite actually, I prefer the steelbook over that drab looking Amaray with it's ugly black border. I guess it's all a matter of perception really.

They look the same except for the Logo. Though I do like the red sun in the lower one.
