I didn't like it as much as Shaun but found it on par with Fuzz. I'll be honest when Hot Fuzz came out when I was about 12, I thought it was a horror film and it genuinely scared me ahah

I still think this will plummet in value before long.
just as scott pilgrim and paul did.
give it a month or 2 and Germany will be getting a release, and the us will get a release.
then the uk will get a re-release.
universal can't help themselves but milk it.
kick as 2 will be the same. get ready for another few versions to show up - reducing the value of the original.

I doubt it will get another release unless its in the UK and is part of the horizontal comic wave. Just doesn't make sense financially. It would have to sell for less than $10 in the US to sell. I don't think universal is going to be worring about making pennies when they got bigger things to worry about. If this were a blockbuster I would say sure, but its not and packaged home video is in decline right now. Blu-ray is going to be down in 2013 over 2012. Expect to see less and less reprints unless its a major Hollywood blockbuster.

Hot Fuzz is my favourite of the three and I think Shaun of the Dead is equally as good. This just didn't quite reach the same level. I hope there is more to come from Wright/Pegg/Frost though as these films are way better than the vast majority of comedies that Hollywood produce.

Just watched Shaun of the Dead last night (well... started it just after New Years midnight).

Had no idea what to expect, but I like that dry English humor and I think the film style was pretty unique. Lots of unspoken but noticeable intent as far as the way they made it. Not really into Zombie movies, but I enjoyed SOTD... probably a little more than Zombieland. Looking forward to Hot Fuzz... which again, I only know what I see on the front cover but I have no clue what the movie is about.

Shaun is great. You will pick up on new little subtle things you hadn't noticed before every time you watch it.

Another good Zombie Comedy is the German movie Night of the living Dorks. Not as good as Shaun but it is really fun. Watch it in German though...comedy should NEVER be dubbed.

Dance of the Dead is also excellent...

I've just got the same email. I ordered on the 4th dec so I've been fairly patient but nevermind.

Gahh just got that email too. There was a glimmer of hope when I received a response to my initial inquiry about the status of my order stating that they expect this item to ship in 7-8 days when they receive stock.....a day later I get an email saying my order was cancelled and being refunded. Why must wowhd troll us like that...dinks.

Kinda crazy this ended up with a limited release. I am sure there will be other steelbooks for this movie in the future, just look at their other movies.
