I kind of want to put in an order for a second copy of this just because of the OOS status. But wow is it an expensive steel. How much is this trading at currently, £35ish? More, less?

Hi Everyone,

Please keep the chat in this thread to the topic of the steelbook. If a GB is opened for this the price is set and approved. You can typically see the breakdown in the thread and either choose to join or not.

Thanks.

As I keep saying love this Cornetto Trilogy, I just want to see this released in a Reel Heros version and a horizontal to match the other two, but that is just a rehash of what I previously stated.

Also I think I like this movie more than Hot Fuzz

I ordered this a few days ago from wowHD. Have not received an email from them regarding my order yet, but it is listed as back ordered when I check my account. Does anyone have experience ordering from them?

If you look up a few messages Ranavalone said

Just received this morning an "Order Delay" message from WOW HD regarding The World's End steelbook:
"We have experienced a delay in receiving this product from our suppliers and we are currently awaiting confirmation of when the goods will be available for despatch."

Also received the same message regarding Kick-Ass 2 on the 22nd.

From what I've gathered reading the threads at HDN, WOW HD has a bit of a track record in failing to deliver some pre-order titles.

No other on-line retailer seems to have these steelbooks in stock, I wonder if WOW HD will get any stock at all?

Of course, I'm still hoping, but not feeling too confident at the moment...

I'm in the same position as you and I'm not holding out to much hope.

One another note.

My parents are currently laughing their ass off of Robie Williams' lame low-ground humor of a movie "RV", while they didn't like The World's End at all. I feel like killing myself. Bye.

Love the Danes (I lived in Aarhus, Jutland for a couple of years) but you do have some strange customs. My first Christmas with my then GFs family, looking forward to maybe turkey, chicken, he'll even reindeer, but oh no smoked herring and eels, smoked herring and eels WTF? It was like dyamm.

Glad you like Danes, but you were at the wrong side of Denmark my friend. Jutland is where the weird stuff happens. :hilarious:

Zealand is the place to be. Here we don't eat freaking eels and **** for Christmas haha. We get things like roast pork, duck and goose. :)

Sorry but you are wasting your time. I had this on order for three weeks and nothing changed. They take the money from your account and you have to email to request a cancellation as there is no option on their site. I got this email from them when I asked for cancellation. To be fair they replied quickly but gave no explanation as to why you can order things from them they don't have.

Thank you for your email.
Your item World's End, The (Blu-ray + Ultraviolet) (Limited Edition Steelbook) has been cancelled as requested. Once it is acknowledge by our system, a refund should also be processed accordingly afterwards. Please allow 5 working days for the funds to appear on your account.
Once again,I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you by this delay and thank you very much for your patience - it is sincerely appreciated.

Please contact us at your convenience should you have any further queries.

You can still order it on the site but they clearly have none but still take money from your account

They should put a warning on top of this page to warn people not to bother. Terrible website.

That is what confused me. I assumed if they were charging me for it they either had some in stock or were expecting a shipment at some point. I inquired about the status of my item so I'll give it a couple more days and then cancel my order for a refund.

Does anyone know if a Reel Heroes version is planned for release? cuz i got the first two of the cornetto trilogy and I'd like the complete set in a matching style!

I still think this will plummet in value before long.
just as scott pilgrim and paul did.
give it a month or 2 and Germany will be getting a release, and the us will get a release.
then the uk will get a re-release.
universal can't help themselves but milk it.
kick as 2 will be the same. get ready for another few versions to show up - reducing the value of the original.

you may get lucky and one will turn up in the future, personally don't think you are missing much as i thought the film wasn't anything special, definitely the poor third outing compared to shaun of the dead and hot fuzz

Really I enjoyed this more than Hot Fuzz, obviously less than SotD though
