I'm learning how to collect now that I have a legit collection of rare steels and such so I'm looking for tips. Why do you open full slips but keep 1/4 slips sealed?

no need to open a 1/4-slip as you can see the front artwork even when it's sealed, and the loss in value is tremendous between sealed and open/mint.
if i were you, i wouldn't open asian steels at all, if there's another way to watch the movie (buy a cheap amaray,...).
only open if you think it's really worth it and you cannot resist seeing the interior of the steel. if you're not sure if you want to keep it forever, re-sell value will go down a lot if opened.

edit: in this case (wrestler) i am waiting for my 2nd copy of the full slip, to see which one has the better number, and open the one with the not so good number (i have 340/2000 now). i will open one for sure. i want to see it in its full glory.

And that's why I buy 3 copies ;-)

1 to open and enjoy
1 to keep sealed and enjoy
1 to possibly trade in the future

I'm tempted. I have 1409/2000 of the full slip sealed and Im not sure if I want to open it yet. I probably will keep it sealed and get an amaray release, but I love opening steels; I just recently decided to stop opening the rare ones, but The Wrestler is just amazing from the pics...temptation...

I had 2 full slips with numbers in the 340's but with the 1/4 slip I was really surprised as I got numbers 0004 and 0005

Very nice! My numbers were high (788 for 1/4 and 1,187 full), but I never pay much attention to the numbers. The only numbers I really hope and look for are 111, 222, etc.

2nd full slip arrived today with the Plain sticker this time lol & another sticker in the box to replace the missing one from my 1st order  plus a few meters of bubble wrap protecting it all  PA :scat:

so i pre-ordered mine on day 1 and still havent received them

plain gave me a tracking number, but its for a package going to the UK, not canada.

plain then told me the post office sent the package to the UK by mistake and will re-route it back to canada

a day later plain tells me the tracking number is actually for a different package entirely, and gave me the "correct" tracking number for my own package, but this tracking number still doesnt show up on canadapost, so the wait continues...

Sorry to hear that Fork. At least PA is keeping you apprised of the situation. I am sure they will do everything they can to make sure you get your package.

Hi guy's , i received my wrestler today but its sad to say , my 1/4 slip is scratched under the wrap .... I expected something better from them
.. The thing is cool is i got 0020/2000 for my full slip ! I'll show you picture !
