I think Gloss always looks better, it gives the steelbook a premium finish which you don't get with matte finishes. It also allow the colours to pop more, I would take a gloss finish every time but each to their own!

To keep things on topic, I have a question. Has it ever been confirmed what the slip cover would be for this release? There was some early samples that used something similar to the Best Buy exclusive slip cover. But since then, I've heard nothing...

Is everyone forgetting that the HMV Thor is also spot gloss and it is GORGEOUS! I'm fine with spot gloss on this as long as its done well, and on both sides.

i was hoping the blufans release to be fully glossed, wich is way better for me..(and what was expeted to be by the way) plus the rest of the steel (on the first edition) is zero finish i believe, this doesn't look and feel like matte..

Good example, I reckon people just read Matte and that it at times.

Would be better wording it like With specially placed Spot Gloss or some other marketing rubbish
