I'm furious about this. This steel is going to cost me a small fortune but it looks like a cheap piece of crap. The border doesn't bother me too much but the matt finish is the killer for me.

Lets wait and see what they come up with, the latest info is that the invoices for Thor will not be sent out this month. We can be looking at a new production of these made right.

So...we will get a delay, but that might give us a new steel. Because honestly...who would pay for this?

Funny you mention the futurepak, as I was about to comment that since Scanavo has a monopoly on the steelbook, perhaps Blufans will go the way of futurepaks in the near future.

Could you imagine the uproar in this forum?

I cannot understand how Scanavo can do such a great job with Kung Fu Panda and then go and mess up with Wall-E, Iron Man and now Thor. It is almost like they don't want Blufans business.

You have a funny way at logic, since the latest zavvi disney steels are a complete opposite of the horrendous issues blufans is dealing with....

IMO the lack of any gloss takes away a lot from this release. A kick in the gut TBH. In the current configuration even if the border issue is resolved, in no way will this be an upgrade in any way, sort or form to the original.

I read there was a problem with Scanavo Hong Kong, Blufans need to work it out with them, Scanvo are not owning up to any mistakes or ignoring the specifications outlined by Blufans. Seems to be too many problems lately with Scanavo and Asian releases, a drop in quality control too.

Border is way too thick and needs fixed but matte is a deal breaker, glad Blufans are on the case unlike some western retailers who would just say oh what the hell and release it as is.

Have you cancelled all your Blufans orders to show your disgust at Chinese made Scanavo steelbooks?

The good part is money wasn't taken and the issue has been spotted and reported back. There are so many Steels released in Western countries with poor QC.

I totally agree, after seeing the pictures and the posts, I went and examined many steels that I have with Borders and none are that thick, it definitely needs fixing for sure. Also I usually love Matte, but always say ''it depends on the release'', some release matte finish fits perfectly, but on this one ''it has to be a nice fully Gloss finish''.
Hope Blufans don't budge and require the quality from Scanavo that we want as collectors, after all, we mostly buy the Blufans...

If this does indeed turn out to be the finished product, I WILL indeed be cancelling my order. For $63 I expect high quality, nothing less. As I am sure you would.

Compared to this horrible attempt their first try for Iron Man was almost a brilliant masterpiece which nearly got a pass.
If this is the final product then it gets my "pass on"

I would be disappointed with a matte finish, and the border is definitely too thick for me, but the off center title would drive me absolutely crazy. The first two problems could be passed off as subjective issues, but the off center title is an obvious error (you can tell that it was intended to be centered).
