You may have been extremely unlucky to not find a perfect copy of Blufans steelbook. I have bought BF steelbooks via all channels. Trading forum on HDN, BR, ebay, from Kevin and yet to receive a not perfect copy. I open all my steels so I know they are flawless.

I take it you haven't got wreck it Ralph blu fans, don't think a flawless copy of that exists

I also wonder what the true percentage of damage for Asian steelbook is because a large number are kept sealed thus hiding the damage and perpetuating the belief of high quality.
Just saying.
I haven't ordered that many but both my Cap Winter Soldier Nova full slip steel and Kimchi Leon were less than perfect. Leon I could live with just the odd mark and scratch on the opening side, but Cap was scratched all over and needed replaced.

The marks I have seen on BF/kimchi/HDZeta releases appeared to be pressure marks, possibly from being stacked on top of one another, probably in the warehouse.

I know what you mean in regards to Frozen for the copies that have micro scratches on the lenti and shrink wrap (but some are OCD quality though)... seems that they may have been tired towards the end of this FROZEN process

Like I said earlier. Had these Steelbooks been solely for the Chinese market there is no way Scanavo China would have even contemplated reprinting them. That is why Blufans are in such a tight spot. They are basically being bullied by Scanavo. I'm thinking about calling Scanavo HQ (tel: +45 43 55 27 00) and trying to speak to someone there. I think I'll call them on Thursday as I will be back at work then.

From the demand upon release and pricing on the secondary market of Asian steelbooks compared to the rest of the world, the belief is safe.

I'm thinking the clouds in the background are going to make this SteelBook look pretty good next to Iron Man 2 from Play.com. They are very close in color, and Iron Man 2 directly precedes Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

any words as to where they are in the remanufacturing process ? fixing the border, the embossing and the finish treatment ?...Kevin last stated he would be fine with a high quality Matte Finish, did they go with Matte or Gloss Finish as it was supposed to be done at first ?!
