Just saw one go on Evil-bay last night for $90 US!EEK!

This steelbook is trending upward, which is interesting considering how long it was in stock via HMV, and that it's the same steelbook from other countries.

This is one of my faves (and Wreck got a Stan Lee autograph for me on this one), but I'm a bit puzzled - might be just people don't realize the other editions are the same steelbook.

Maybe it's just a really awesome design couple with an half decent film. A rare occurrence in the world of steelbooks.

This steel is getting to be one of the most popular UK releases... ive seen em fly off ebay for £6-£70 easily... i remember seeing a stock pile of em at HMV i bought one copy off the shelf knew i should have doubled up! :hilarious:

iirc the last time I saw it in HMV it was £25 and was still £20 online.

I saw this after the abomination that was the Green Lantern, so wasn't expecting much of the movie at all. Like others have said, the steel is awesome, but the movie itself is fun & very entertaining.

These are all getting silling as people try to collevt all the avengers titles, I'm sure the hype will die down a bit. £50+ for this is just sill imo.

AP, when I perform a search on their site, I only get four blu references and none of them is the actual movie. Is it possible that HMV no longer carries Thor in any version whatsoever? Glad I picked up a steel when I did. Can't imagine what Cap is going for, as it's a better cover by far.

Yes, the Thor steelbook was deleted from the web site some time ago. But I can't say on the regular movie.

It's been stated that some more of the remote stores still had a copy of the steelbook here or there for purchase.

Cap was more widely released than Thor, and also via amazon.de (and Germany is a huge market), so the print run for Cap seems to be much larger, IMO.

Well mfc,

CAP is actually still available ... I think this is about only place left .... besides maybe some very obscure smaller Country etailers.

This one above has 3d, so thats why its stuck around so long ... more expensive then all the rest. As soon as a price drop happens, I'm sure stock will fly off the shelf.

It's so interesting because that Thor is going for so much now - it's a pretty cool steel, but it's barely embossed and looks as standard as the recent release of Safe House. Just weird what people will spend their money on.
